I added a SOCOM Accu-Strut to my 18 inch Mini 14 and it makes it look just a bit more like an M14, its parent rifle. I like the way it looks. I agree you probably won't get a whole additional increase in accuracy but the heat dissipation by adding the strut is a definite plus.
That Holosun won’t run forever because of that solar panel. It won’t charge the battery and won’t even provide 100% of the power needed in bright daylight. The solar panel just keeps the battery from burning out as quickly. You’ll still need to change out the battery after a year or two.

Don't want to change the stock, it's too damn pretty & cool, but I can't add a Birdcage to it or better sights. Oh well, great little carbine that I love to shoot anyway. That's the only real modification I've done to it.
It came with the gun when I bought it.
I like the simplicity of the mini-14, but the price doesn’t make sense. Ruger sells lighter ARs for less than the mini-14... perhaps if they sold at the $500 range, they would be even more on n demand. They look cool, but it doesn’t make sense to me.
They are pricier than they need to be.
@@LLpros I remember in the 1980s they used to be 349.00. And you could buy them all day long. IN CALIFORNIA! Yes, you heard that right.
The Pomona gun shows, in southern California, were run by Crossroads of the West twice a year. Six giant buildings, the size and looks of a jumbo jet hanger filled with row after row of gun tables! That stopped in the late 1980s. They were shut down.
I miss those days.
Get an Ultimak rail. It’s worth the weight.
Ill look into it thanks!
The new Hannibal rail by Samson Mfg. looks pretty sweet, too. Gives you more optics & accessory options.
I have an original ALL Walnut wood Mini, including the upper hand guard, 180 series made in the mid 70's. According to Ruger there is nothing I can do to the first series at all & they no longer even carry parts for them. It is a gorgeous carbine & I love it to death, but I hate the rear sight & they, Ruger, said I can't change them ? I cannot even put a Red Dot etc on it as there is no way to install a rail period. Mine has the thin pencil barrel & a one blade non protected front sight. Being an all original first series it does have some collectible attributes to it & it is in 100% perfect condition. Don't want to change the stock, it's too damn pretty & cool, but I can't add a Birdcage to it or better sights. Oh well, great little carbine that I love to shoot anyway. I wonder if that under the barrel thingamagig would fit on mine, anybody ??
You can have the barrel threaded to put flash suppressor on it and sight moved. Back some had mine done mine was 18 inch barrel had 2 inches cut off shot better groups too
Where did you get the scope mounts
Came with the gun in box
Looks cool but the accu-strut is a gimmick. That being said looking cool is pretty important
Not a gimmick. It works.
Yea I mean its mostly there for looks and weight.
What stock?
It’s called the Speckled hard wood stock and it came with the gun but I’ve since switched it out with another wooden stock.
Thats hot. 🤤 Hey! Bootleg Jake Owen! If you wanna look into a gnarly fluted muzzle brake for that mini, check out a company called 'Rectifire Muzzle Brakes'! 🤙🏼
Haha well thanks for the advice friend I’ll be sure to check them out!
Can you sand off and refinish that stock? cause the black-brown speckled wood is ugly AF
I originally thought about doing that but I opted to just find another wood stock and I found the perfect one. See other Mini 14 video.
On a Mini14 a Red Dot os a Joke.. smh

Go sub to my new channel it will be posted there.
I want
You always want it all. Me too. Me too.
I would definitely like a go at that lever gun and what fool does not want to shoot a mini-14? My all time favorite rifle since childhood. Last time I shot one was about 30 years ago. It was a boat gun on an offshore lobster boat. BA. Just incase any unsavory pirate types decided to get too close 150 mi offshore. Or if just wanted to shoot somebody’s gear that was a little too close.
Is this the wokeness?
