Fantastic video. He is a great instructor and she made a great student. He was great at getting his ideas across and she was a strong enough rider to actually do what he said. I really learned a lot from this video.
Bad habits are easy to slip in to. My horse and I know each other and we both slip off into bad habits. I realize my bad habits when I ride someone else’s horse. Then when I ride my horse again I notice her bad habits. I also notice I’m the one who let it happen.
I use to ride like Kristen I would lose my stirrup every time but as I learned to drive my horses from the hind end it doesn’t happen anymore she will get there with practice I practiced a whole lot ❤
Love this! Her issues are exactly what I am currently working on so it was great to see his advice through this. Great job to both!! I'll be watching this several times!
I was looking for your thoughts on adopting a couple thoroughbreds and training them for trails. Looking at 3-6 year old geldings. I know that’s a pretty open ended question…..
When i was younger, i was told to lightly kick the sides of my horse or shake the reigns when picking them up to alert the horse, i want help to not do this? With english riding, it can hurt the horses teeth either way the mouth bit and kicking the sides even lightly probably isn’t nice :(( For refrence, I was 6 and very weak, so i guess that was the only way, but it is a bad habit.
I can't put my heels down either. (Bad ankles). I find that shoving your heel down actually tightens the entire leg. Everyone has their own way I suppose.

Super lesson.
The buckles on the rein connection at the bit are facing in. Is this right?
Is the horse for sale?
Use your ABS!
I have drop foot braces so I can’t push my heels down. Is there anything I can do to compensate?

@@lynnm.kleingardner8640 Thanks for your input Lynn.
That's a beautiful gelding, with gorgeous feet!
Where is her helmet??
I thought we were done with judging people’s personal choices with their bodies 🤨
not all of us wear helmets
if you said that to a cowboy they would laugh in your face ur on the wrong channel to be making those judgements
@@april-tt7dp You know nothing about me...
Too much clucking .
This girl is not a good rider
why do you say that?
That’s why she’s taking lessons
She is also exaggerating for video purposes. If he had a model who showed perfection than he couldn't show what he is teaching.
😂
