Hi -- can you tell me what camera you use -- the image quality is great.
@whistlingdavetaviner3663 thanks a lot. It's a Canon EOS Rebel T7.
@@OCPD_support Thanks, I ask because I'm a musician, a tad OC myself, and I'm obsessively 😃looking for a good camera for video production. Also, I work in a school, and some of the pupils have OC characteristics. I came across your site here the other day, and I get a good feeling about it.
@@whistlingdavetaviner3663 I'm not a musician, but I am a DJ. So I understand the obsession with the best equipment. The camera has been great, especially for the price. But don't discount the importance of the lens. This one is the one I use: www.amazon.com/Canon-0570C002-Filter-Cleaning-Renewed/dp/B09RNCB154/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3S3ZOBH9FYXKM&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.oD2BeBreCmuD6YSunDL7ECDUw5KVf30udo5q-A5y_vBG3jVtNv3VSRFI6L_6RifH34iGIU8j7_9oeljJnSxCgYcRFq7wDiIK9ZwEixAjNnfonn31ca46xsMUNWHH8jFrDxzDp0Hd_-HnL4CLIp98t9Z6DHHAILD6lryA_a9iRUfWxcOnYDWefabVFOo_LkNa3a2pS11tIHN12trvCuNZW3vypUypAC-nHEfHQHHWD_g.wq8Y-D9SU5dpL0pZ_uBkJPfPEySN6R8gua55dcurx_Q&dib_tag=se&keywords=Canon+EF+50mm+f%2F1.8+STM%3A+Lens+with+Glass+UV+Filter%2C+Front+and+Rear+Lens+Caps%2C+and+Deluxe+Cleaning+Pen%2C+Lens+Accessory+Bundle+50+mm+f1.8+-+Internatio&qid=1726598373&sprefix=canon+ef+50mm+f%2F1.8+stm+lens+with+glass+uv+filter%2C+front+and+rear+lens+caps%2C+and+deluxe+cleaning+pen%2C+lens+accessory+bundle+50+mm+f1.8+-+internatio%2Caps%2C128&sr=8-1
is there any news about when the rest of this interview will come out?
Christina P. I am working on editing the remaining footage next week. So it will be up in the next two to three weeks. Thanks.
My father got diagnosed with OCPD my folks got separated recently and they are in their late 60's. I was wondering what would happen to people with OCPD at old age?
Iks Armada I'm sorry to hear that. The longer OCPD goes untreated, the more ingrained the symptoms tend to be. It is definitely never too late for someone to go get treatment for OCPD, and I'd suggest that your father does that. If you are in contact regularly with your father, you might just want to keep an eye out for signs of deepening depression. I would think anyone would be susceptible to that after a divorce, especially if he is suffering with OCPD on top of that.
@@OCPD_support My father and I arent in good terms ever since his separation from my mother. I used to think he was a narcissist, but ever since his diagnosis I started to do research and I found your videos. You made me understand him and I no longer feel anger towards him. I feel very sad that he cannot help himself because of his disorder and Hes turning 67 this year. He doesnt have a stable home and no friends, he has a small pension but he cannot work and I worry what would become of him. He's also vanished too so no one knows where he went.
@@iksarmada7197 I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope that you have other people in your life that can offer you emotional support. It's very disappointing that you did not receive that from your father.
@@OCPD_support I'm looking for more information about OCPD and lying. What is your experience with lying? Are people with this disorder prone to lying like a narcissist or telling the truth because of being a perfectionist?. My father had another family and kept it as a secret for decades, it makes me wonder how he's mind justified it. I'm not mad I just need to know why he never told me when I asked if he had a secret.
@@iksarmada7197 Iks Armada there isn't a one-size-fits-all list of personality traits that match up with every person with OCPD. However, I'm happy to try and shed a little light on this topic.
People lie for different reasons. For people with OCPD, it's less likely that they would like for the same reasons as a narcissist. In fact, much of the lies people with OCPD tell, they are telling to themselves. That is the common type of lying in this situation.
However, there can also be a lot of shame surrounding the thoughts and actions of someone with OCPD. They might feel very strongly about a particular moral dilemma, and would be the first person to tell someone else how to live. Or they may judge them for not doing the right thing. But they themselves might not have the strength to follow through on even their own personal beliefs. And due to the shame of not living up to their own high standards, they could very well lie to others about what they've done.
But we with OCPD are still human beings capable of both good and bad things. So it's always possible someone could do what your dad did and it not have a direct connection to his underlying mental health issues. That's unlikely, but sometimes it becomes easier to blame the condition than the person.
It ended very abruptly …
Shirley I apologize for that. Normally I try to film an outro when I do interviews, but I did not have the opportunity this time to do that. There is plenty more interview to come and it will be released soon. Thank you for your patience.
