Been using density sets recently after learning them from you, absolutely love them. I also tend to find stuff like 5x5 sort of mentally draining (assuming they are tough sets of five), but with density sets, I feel the same physical fatigue but without the mental fatigue.
I do density sets once a week for two lifts I mainly want to maintain strength for, while I peak on other lifts. It's great, no need to program them at all, just autoregulation.
Density sets and giant sets totally changed my training. I can begin with sets of 5-6 and finish with triple or doubles, which is so less tiring that just do the same number of reps set by set. And all that with the same total number of reps. Thanks Will for the cues!
I was doing this for deadlift without realizing it. Reason being deadlift set up builds up lactic acid for me (cuz im slow) so consecutive rep sucks. Instead i switched to just doing 1-3 heavy rep then resting, rinse and repeat for 45min

I think density sets also have a bit of conditioning built into them
This guy is super intense, even when talking about his hoodie! 😂
I think you said it in another video but density sets are great if you’re strict/short on time

Would you count EMOMs as density sets?
I learned something new again.
If you enjoy football, go check out will ratelles college football highlights at UND on youtube. Bro was an an absolute beast at linebacker.
Does that 14mins include warmups, or is that after warmups?
Most likely after warmup.
Then 14 minutes (or whatever time you decide) for your actual working set.
How many sets and reps should I focus on if I wanted pure strength training for sports like strongman?
my guess is 3-5
