I wish Bachmann would reproduce this model again because they are very limited at the moment and would sell well. If they reproduced this model, they should have all of these features which are on this video and also try and make it possible so the doors can open and close - if they can do a working pantograph, they can do doors opening and closing!
Bachmann has a winner here. If they can work with Legomanbiffo to repeat this for the Jubilee Line, Central Line, Victoria Line, maybe even the London Underground Freight trains, their popularity is guaranteed to skyrocket almost unaffected by how they're priced.
I drive these on the metropolitan line and the sound decoder is spot on, was gutted to miss out on the model for it thought it would of been on sale longer than it was but am not paying massively inflated prices on ebay.
I've been calling the London Transport Museum and they're not open as yet to my knowledge (I last called June 25th) and on their website I can't find the S Stock sets nor the additional cars anywhere much to my great disappointment as I'm in need of only four dummy (non-powered) cars to make the eight car consist that I'd like to have. I'd been checking eBay here in the states and of course haven’t found anything (I've only checked eBay UK once). I hope that they return as I LOVE my set and everything else railway related that comes out of the UK, your railway system is the BEST!
re-release happened recently for double the original price! £595 for a 4 car set. granted there are some changes including seat moquettes, painted wheels etc. but that doesn't warrant that much of a price jump.

Really like this model made by Bachmann but that sound is awesome and that spark is brilliant.
