You are doing a great job on the bike Mark. Once it's out in the real world, it of course will get scuffs, scrapes, and dirt all over it ... so nobody is going to be fussing over some tiny mark in the paint. I'm going to miss this bike build when it is finished .. it's been a lot of fun.
She's shaping up real nice Mark............credit to ya !!!! I don't mind the two tone black on the motor and side cover........custom paint job mate !!!!!!!
just found your channel, just started my build on my xv250 over on my channel, I just got done making some home made exhaust. I love the blacked out look of the bike you building, so im subscribing so I can keep follow on your build.
I'm still enjoying it, Mark 👍. It's coming on nicely, despite those little paint setbacks that I'm sure most of us here have experienced ourselves. I'm pleased that you've chucked the blingy bits too. I'm liking the matt effect. KOR! 👍
Hello Mark; Great work, yes you are rambling at times, but thats you, :). The bike is starting to look so good. I just can't wait to see more progress. Also are you coming down with a cold? Time for hot tea and lemon drink....look after yourself mate....
ya bugga mark ya got me thinking bout me drag trike and well ive pulled it aprt and pollished it and painted it and its lookin pretty bloody good , no thanks ta you ya bugga for making me feel guilty heheheheheh keep on ridin
A lot of times Mark with a small dent like that, as long as the metal is not creased, you can use the heat and cold method of removal. Use heat gun, hair dryer, the heat the area then use a can of air up-side-down, so you get the propellant coming out supper cold. Look up ruclips.net/video/8g-2QX1Kitg/видео.html.
When you have problems with the paint, it's cause by : the quality of the paint, the time/temperature when it dries,... It's so difficult to have a "good" result ! You can paint with a special indestructible coating (like "LINE-X") but you must go to a professionnal painter. Good Luck, bye.

Thanks mate! :-)
It's a" Mad Max" bike Mark. Keep it Aussie Bush mate. Normal, oval mirrors. Cheers.
Heat the dent with a heat gun. THEN hit it with a blast of canned air that shoots out that iciness. The shock will pop a small dent out.
Looking good, Mark.
And here I was about to go to bed! Woot!!
(4:30am here in Eastern Ontario, Canada)
Won't be long now in the home stretch. Awesome looking already.😎👍

Awsome mate.....
i am just loving this build. which part had the exhaust painting bit? i am really hooked into getting a virago 250 as well. keep it up sir!
Have you considered tick-welding a nail. That sgould get rid of dent.
Just super glue mirrors to the dent, solves both of your problems. ;)
bar end mirrors see past ur shoulders. but widen the bike for filtering.
Just fill it and sand it back and no one would know once painted.
you said that just as I posted the comment :)
hello sir. what tyre size that u use? cause its look bigger than the usual.

Have you watched the video you linked? It didn't work.
Yes just did again and no problem.
Hi, can you tell me wherer to find those hand grips, just the ones i'm looking for my xv250, thank you
I got them from Ebay.com.au
Once the engine is splattered in blood and hair, nobody will notice the flat / satin miss match.
How do I tell if my virago is a h, or J model. I've seen virago h or virago J when searching for parts
I have no idea... Sorry

Yeah, only so much you can do with rattle-can paint, and no dust controlled paint booth.
3rd like, First Comment, makes me nothing Special!!!!!
No. You're special.
VERY SPECIAL :-)
I was being polite in the previous episode. They were hideous! Truly ugly! The rest of the bike is the business!
All mirrors are useless if not setup right for that rider, bike mirrors more so then in cars.
