- As a sign of respect to all those who died on the Western front, I make cards with the photo and regiment of the fallen heroes and place it next to their graves. If you have a photo, feel free to send it to me. Cheers! Music:

A very individualistic perception. The presentation is clean and well presented. Your creativity knows no bounds.Rememberance presented in a few minutes that is compasinate.
Well done Sir, Well done.
G'day,
Yay Team !
How come there was a string of New Zealand Headstones with a "disclaimer" accross the top, saying "Known to be buried in this Cemetery." ; were they from a collection of mixed remains that were individually unidentifiable but the names of all in the group were on record, or what ?
Did you catch my video of the 2017 ANZAC Day March & flyby here in Glen Innes (?) ; I showed the Walk of Remembrance in a series of 1-second Jump-Cuts, similar to what you did here with the Headstones, as well as the 1914-1919 Honor-Roll, which has 800 names on it, from the town (which had a population of 10,000)..., after a bit of Poetry among the Kangaroos to begin the video.
Have a good one,
;-p
Ciao !
I think that might be the case here. Yes, I just watched your video, nice one mate!
WarblesOnaLot: re the New Zealand graves marked “known to be buried in this cemetery”, they were buried and their graves marked presumably with wooden crosses, but the cemetery was later heavily shelled in the ongoing fighting and the authorities could no longer locate the graves.
Looking at the cold white headstones, we forget that they were real people … the pictures make them whole again … thanks for that.
Thanks for this.
Please help! I am trying to find the renunciation of Buttes to give in a presentation, the last thing I want to do is disrespect the fallen by not even getting the memorial correct! Any help on spelling if phonetically would be greatly received, Many Thanks for all you do.
I think the word 'Butte' comes from French and is pronounced like Boote with a shorter oo, not a long oo like boots, but slightly shorter. There are of course British variants as well as they fought in the area. I think the most common one is pronounced as 'Byoots', but I have also heard 'Butts'.
Thanks for your reply, I found butte pronounced a similar way to your description and that is what I am going to go with. Apologies for the shocking spelling last night, clearly over tired! 😂
Haha! No worries, I'm happy to help!
