    I typically don’t tie a knot on mine. I run the line in one of the holes on the spool and slowly turn the handle so that the spool makes about 5 full revolutions. After that I pull the line right and reel it. I used to tie knots for them but I felt like that kept screwing up the way the line sat on the spool so I stopped doing that. Fishing is a personal enjoyment so do all of it whatever makes you the happiest. 👊👍

      I'd definitely tie a knot to keep the line from slipping on the spool

      So you're lure and line go flying

      You’re gonna lose 300 yards of line and it’ll end up in a motor.

    Your supposed to go all the way around the spool. The best knot I have found it a uni knot with 4 loops so the knot is not to big

    I found that feeding the line through like how you did ends up cutting the line very easily. Maybe it’s just my reel but I had to tie around because those holes are not rounded off for me

      No it doesn’t, the holes in the spool are for water drainage and may be sharp, you run the risk of cutting your line at the knot.

    • @baldvale5418

      @@teeanahera8949true the holes could be sharp but they are not in any way shape or form for water drainage!
      the spool only has hole's in it to make it lighter

      Only for braid but you can also tie braid to the reel in the holes or put electrical tape on the knot so it won’t slip

    I tied this knot and it slipped. I think with an arbor not you're supposed to go over hand knot around the main line, and then another overhand knot with the tag end around the main line again.

    • @symplicitytv1032
      @symplicitytv1032 Год назад

      yes there is supposed to be 3 total overhand knots, not 2 like shown in this video, but if you have thick line 2 can work
