You have a short memory, only a couple of months ago protestors where beaten by police, thrown to the concrete, sprayed with pepper spray and shot with rubber projectiles. If people want to wear masks, and keep their distance they can. If people want to stay away from crowds they can. If people want to stay at home they can. Hell even if businesses chose to have vaccination as an entry requirement i would not ask the government to force them to let me in. Wasn't thousands... Wasn't even tens of thousands.. I have been in several situations where I have been around 100,000... Both here (2016 AFL Grand Final Parade had 100,000) as well as a couple times in NYC... Today was HUGE!!! You could see people still marching down Bourke Street in huge numbers when I was on the route back to Treasury Gardens on Flinders Street... For them to me (via the route of the protest) was TWO KILOMETRES. And I was NOWHERE near the front of the protest. People were still marching into Treasury Gardens AN HOUR after I had gotten there.... Only shame was most left after reaching the gardens, because they had their own thoughts and didn't need to listen to speakers......

The erosion of human rights and civil liberties. We are lucky to have the knowledge of history and foresight to no go down those roads tread before us by our forefathers that fought for our freedoms. @@caroliner2029 Thanks Caroline. There were about 20 car loads all together from Mildura and many made it back for the 27th. We have all planned to return for the 4th of Dec bigger and better. We now how bull horns, T shirts, more flags etc etc. The kids loved the Mardi Gra like atmosphere, thankfully they are too young to understand what we are truly there for.
