    I can't really look at other Christian content creators anymore as you know people misinterpret and pick verses out of context and give their own meaning to these verses. I like to stick to leaning on the Holy Spirit for guidance and understanding as I read the bible and i make notes that I feel are inspired by God and use verses to emphasize and support what I write as long as what I'm writing is aligned with what God says in the bible. I can truly say you are one of the few followers of Christ that uses bible verses in context while also using other verses from the bible to support what you are saying as everything in the bible is interconnected. That's God's greatness right there, scripture is God breathed and inspired by God. It truly is a blessing to have you here to spread God's word and to explain things in a cohesive and clear manner, and the blessing of God's word and the Holy Spirit who teaches us and gives us understanding. God bless you and your family

    I’m tempted to think that if you have real concerns over these verses that is a sign that you’re saved because you take the Lord’s word seriously.
    Having said, I also feel that the bible has a number of warnings for a reason and it’s not just for false prophets. Being saved isn’t just saying some magic words. Something changes inside of you, something that was dead becomes alive. We know from James that faith has to produce works as evidence of the faith.
    Here’s the verse I wonder most about and I wish was preached on more often - the way to heaven is narrow and few will find it. What’s going on there??
    Maybe that’s why we need to “work out our salvation with fear and trembling “?

    • @mahendragirji489
      @mahendragirji489 10 дней назад +7

      Narrow way to heaven is Jesus, because he said that he is the way and the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father but by me. And there is this verse workout your own salvation with fear and trembling that means do good works in spirit after you have been saved knowingly with Godly fear.you dont have to work for your salvation its done by jesus. Work out your salvation not work for your salvation

      When I was young Christian I relied on similar kinds of teachings from large churches but later in my walk I realized that regular bible reading is essential for spiritual growth. In 2024 read the new testament through twice and am working on an old testament read-through.
      To put it candidly many sermons focus too much on just a few % of the bible and seem to avoid those tougher topics.
      As much as Ive sought the Lord over the years my flesh is evil and I need the constant conviction. Matthew 5-7 still stuns me.
      While a one-time prayer that is genuine from the heart will take you from unsaved to saved and is forever/unchangeable/secure it has to be genuine and the rest of the life is producing a walk of evidence.
      Take the parables of the soils. My understanding is it’s those good soils that are saved and unfortunately there are not just the hard paths but also the rocky soils and the weedy soils. I’m not a theological scholar but that hits me as a lot of people come in contact with a form of Christianity but you’ve got to be in the good soil. No Christian of course should be going out to identify who’s not saved however Ive taken all of the bible to be a quite serious book and what keeps the path narrow is understanding what it means when you do get to know Jesus as your savior.
      Please brothers and sisters stay close and strong with the Lord.

    Hey broski, I just wanted to say I’m a new Christ follower and I’m trynna get back in my faith and I’ve got only abt 3 RUclips Channels that I watch for good encouragement and knowledge, and this is prob my favorite, I see WAY to many people basically contradicting what you and the Word says, and what Christ and the Father has said, and they’re incorrect. People try to play the whos more righteous game and they don’t even understand the core fundamentals of following Christ, makes me cringe lol I pray they find the Truth. Idk who’s teaching them these doctrines or whatever, it’s usually younger people deceived. But yea just wanna say thank you brother in Christ for doing the good work of The Lord and spreading the Truth in the darkness and falseness of the world. This is what Christ meant when he said the path was narrow, not about works. Keep doing what your doing I look forward to these vids and I know one thing, idk what you deal with or whatever but God WILL bless you, and make good on his promise to help and heal the Faithful!!! 👍🏼💪🏼

    Glory to God. I appreciate your videos.
    What percentage of believers do you think are called to be disciples? We know in John 6 that many disciples turned away at “hard sayings”. Disciples of His went back and walked with Him no more. If they walk without Him, are they with Him? “No one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.”
    We know Jesus prays separately for His disciples and believers in John 17. So there is a hierarchy (or at least, differentiation) in the Church. But we also know the greatest shall be servants. The least among the body are the greatest. The lowliest shall be laid directly on the foundation that is Christ Jesus.
    God bless you and may you abide in Jesus now and always.

      Growth and maturation in Christ leads to discipleship, so all are called to it ultimately, but some have a heavy call from the start. The 12 disciples Jesus called on the spot to follow Him, but many others He didn't, and told them to go home and share what happened with their family, etc. This may help, I made it a few days ago ruclips.net/video/26dQuIzdUlg/видео.html

    • @lawrencehorner8418
      @lawrencehorner8418 9 дней назад

      I don't think those who turned away from following Jesus in the gospels were genuine disciples, but were those who followed Him just for the miracles, or who thought Jesus was going to be a political messiah and overthrow Rome.

    • @BigpapaBear1983
      @BigpapaBear1983 9 дней назад

      Did they believe? And what is true belief but that which leads to true discipleship? Is there a belief that is true and leads to salvation yet not discipleship? Or is a “belief” that doesn’t lead to true discipleship and following of Christ a light within us that is darkness, and how great is that darkness?

    • @lawrencehorner8418
      @lawrencehorner8418 9 дней назад

      @BigpapaBear1983 I think there is also some confusion between "discipleship" and being called into full-time Christian service, such as the ministry or missions.

    The promise to those who sow to the flesh is destruction. There is ample evidence that we will all be judged for our deeds. The warnings were given to Christians so we best take heed. We are not SAVED because of our works but we are created anew, IN CHRIST, for GOOD works. If we do evil we have either not been saved or we fall away. The end result looks the same. Using our salvation as a cloak for evil will not end well. We who take on the name of our Lord must do as He commands: We must love others as we love ourselves and do good to everyone as we have an opportunity. When we are selfish, greedy, self centered, lying haters we can only expect destruction. When we enable such activity we can only expect destruction. Don't cherry pick. Look at the warnings to Christians. Walk in the light and His blood will continue to cleanse. Run away from the love that is the light and you can anticipate God's wrath. God loves everyone. Narrow is the gate. Many will face destruction and still be loved by God. Sad. Don't enable hate and evil. Enable LOVE and GOOD WORKS.

    The apostle paul said i keep under my body and bring it into subjection lest after having preached to others i myself should become a cast away. Unconfessed sin , will disqualify you from God's mercy. You can turn away from God. You can live after the flesh and die spiritually. You can go back in unbelief, and be cut off just like the unbelieving jews. We must keep the faith, we must forgive others or God will not forgive us.

    • @myflourishingfam
      @myflourishingfam  7 дней назад

      1 Cor 9:24-27 Paul says he runs his race to win a prize. Salvation isn't a reward, wage, or a prize. It's a gift (Eph 2:8-9, Rom 6:23). You can't deserve or earn it, it's simply received by faith. If salvation were a reward, your behaviour would become your saviour, and not the finished work of Christ (John 19:30). He doesn't need our help to save us, just our trust. It’s God’s gift to give, not our reward to earn. When your eyes are on yourself, you’ll have doubt because we all come short all the time. If you think you’re good enough, it’s pride. When your eyes are on Jesus and His finished work, you’ll have confidence.
      There are rewards for the believer that Paul is talking about, and they're given out at the judgement (Bema) seat of Christ in 1 Cor 3:10-15 in heaven. Some live such poor lives that they suffer a complete loss (v15), but they themselves are still saved. If your life is characterized by sin, idleness, or insincere service to God then you'll suffer a loss of rewards, but still be saved because your actions don't change your salvation. "We are all the children of God by FAITH in Christ Jesus" Gal 3:26
      There are 5 crowns mentioned in the New Testament that will be part of our reward process if we qualify (1 Cor 9:27). They are the incorruptible crown (gaining mastery over the flesh, 1 Cor 9:24-27), the crown of rejoicing (soul winning, 1 Thess 2:19-20), the crown of life (enduring trials, James 1:12, Rev 2:10), the crown of glory (shepherding God's people, 1 Pet 5:2-4), and the crown of righteousness (longing for His appearing, 2 Tim 4:8). That’s what Paul is referring to in 1 Cor 9:27.

When God does something in His sovereign will, you cannot undo it (Rev 3:7). He sealed us, we don’t seal ourselves, with the Holy Spirit. That cannot be undone. We’re sealed until

      So they're saved by works/persevering? The gospel has always been the same: faith in the Messiah and His attonement, never by works. Abraham believed God, and it was counted to Him for righteousness (Gen 15:6). We know more about the Messiah than the OT revealed, and Jesus redeemed all of the OT saints as well (Gal 4:4-5). And yes, the context is about enduring to the end of the Tribulation when Jesus comes back to save the elect from complete distruction (Matt 24:22).

    The wrath of God spilled on Christ is a newer theory. Started in the middle ages and perfected in the mid 1800s. Never held by any Christian or early Church Father in the 1st 400 years after Christ. The rest is good and solid Biblical interpretation. "My God why did have you forsaken me", is the beginning of Psalm 22. Read the entire Psalm it's about;: never being forsaken by the Father.

We do not have to fear His wrath if we are truly pursuing Him. However, there are many, who believe they are His and are not. Ask yourself why Jesus warned those who followed Him about an eternity in hell if they did not love Him first with all of their heart, soul, and strength, and love others as He has loved us. Why are the warnings there if we are all unconditionally secure?? The warnings are there because He loves us and doesn't want us to spend eternity in hell.

    Greetings, The central idea in the beginning of Revelation chapter 3 can be found in verse 2.
    The context is clear. The question is can you accept Jesus’ words as the truth?
    Revelation 3:2 Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God.
    He is telling them that their deeds are not perfect before his GOD. This is the same theme throughout the 7 letters to the 7 churches. Generally speaking he is calling them to repent or face destruction.
    Thus, everything that you have put forth against Jesus is a strawman. This entire thing has nothing to do with being forsaken as you put it.
    The seven letters are an example of the Judgement that Jesus warned everyone about.
    If you disagree with Revelation Chapter 3:2 then you are opposing the words of Jesus.
    This is the same doctrine that Jesus preached in the flesh throughout his earthly ministry and fits perfectly with Matthew 16:27
    Matthew 16:27 For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done.
    >Jesus warned us about easy belief-ism.<
    Matthew 7:13-14
    13 "Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many.
    14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.

      Rev 3:2 - So you're saved by works? Eph 2:8-9 is pretty clear that we aren't saved by works, lest any man should boast. "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us" Titus 3:5. Jesus wants works from His children, as any good parent wants their children to do what they're told, but they don't save us. Otherwise you have a works-based salvation. That's the strawman, thinking your works save you. Jesus IS the narrow gate (John 10:9). When you've entered by Him (faith in Christ saves, 1 Cor 15:1-4, Gal 3:26, John 1:12, etc), you're saved.

      @myflourishingfam Works based salvation is only a negative concept to Christians whose god is Paul.
      You are tearing down Jesus for Paul and you are bending all of the Apostles teachings for the sake of Paul.
      Just be honest with yourself. The gospel was already established before Paul came on the scene and Paul admits on three separate occasions that it is his own Gospel referring to it as my gospel.
      My trust is in the words of The Law Prophets and Messiah and his Taught ones.

      @@RebukeTHYkingdom You work toward obtaining salvation or you work via obtaining salvation. If your working towards, then that by necessity includes by your own strength? How do you share in the knowledge of salvation if you haven't recieved it?

      @Nonreligeousthiestic Great point, Can we agree that salvation comes at the resurrection? Thus, when we awake to eternal life as Jesus did at his resurrection and we enter into his Kingdom we are saved. This process is described in Daniel 12:2-3.

      Jesus (Iesous) is the Greek form of Yeshua, and Christ is Greek for Messiah. Don't expect every Christian to know Hebrew. If your name is William, first instance, please don't get offended if a Frenchman calls you Guillaume, lol!
