This video is one of the most annoying jobs I had to do, so guys get a quality bulbs before you do it, for each headlight you will be needing:
    H7 1X
    H1 2x
    W5W 1X
    For W168 owners
Again, this is a copy paste, from my reply to another owner.
Yes bro, First thanks for your care and interest.
Models up to 1/3/2001, A. There was a hatch in the wheel fender which you can reach the main beam and second dipped light and parking light, and yet, you cannot change it, and secure it unless you have extremely thin hands. B. the lights and its assembly from that date are also different. So check even for the bulbs, according to your specific model, there are h1,and h7and h4 . Just a heads up!
Second, if you lift the radiator reserve tank and wiper tank as you said, maximum you will be able to change the indicators and dipped beam Hatch no 2 on manual in beginning of video, in the outer round hatch, no way you will be able to reach the binate parking 5W bulb and its corresponding high beam and main beam hatch no 3 and 4 according to car manual picture in the video.
Third. the info of such a procedure you can see that its from The W168 service book and MB official service here, I try to do everything by the book, but as i always say, if someone was able to do it in the easy way, he is a lucky guy, coz this bulb change methodology on this car, is one of the main drawbacks in my opinion.
Any way, thanks again for your point, highly appreciated.

This is an excellent video showing how to remove the whole headlight assembly, however it is completely unnecessary to change out the bulbs. At 0:47 you are staring directly at the large quick access panel on the inner wheel well that allows you to easily change the bulbs from the wheel well. Its held on by two plastic clips that rotate 90 degrees and the whole thing drops out to reveal the back of the headlight housing.

You dont. There is a quick access panel on the inner wheel well directly behind the headlight. Rotate two clips 90 degrees and the panel drops out to give you plenty of access to the back of the headlight assembly through the wheel well to easily change the bulbs. You can see it at 0:47
