Hey Snap! I really enjoyed the video! My friends and I are going to try group play this league. I believe we have the leveling process smoothed out and we understand what to do once we have our gear set and ready to go. However this will be the first time that we are league starting with the intention of going into group play as soon as possible. There seems to be a gray area that we are confused about which exists from Kitava dying in a10 and when we hit juiced maps. The breadcrumbs that I have gathered is that you stack one person's atlas with as much awakening bonus as possible. It appears in Scourge league there were a couple people running solo maps and I assume feeding maps to one person's atlas while another group was farming cemetery with a magic find build? Could you explain what your general game plan is once you have killed Kitava? I appreciate your videos and this information would help out a lot! Thanks!
The general gameplan is to get 2 fully completed atlas' with max awakener bonus and all the favorite slots. The reason you want 2 atlas' is because you want to ping-pong alva missions on maps and having 2 atlas hosts makes that waaaay easier. The 2 (or 3) doing regular progression can just operate independently from the rest of the group. They play the game like normal and push as high tier maps as possible. The other 3 (or 4) people just kind of jerk off in low tier content trying to churn out as much money as possible so you have money to transition when you need it. We play a windripper MF build and just MF blood aqueducts into low-tier cemetery maps. There are a however a variety of strategies you can use early to make money, and making money should be the primary goal of the other 3 or 4 people. When the 2 atlas pushers are finally done, you do a big money dump and spend on all of your builds to get them ready for the big 5-orb juice and then you never look back.

mainly matters for beyond bosses and rares, helps with kosis/omni damage. Also the cursebot is cylcloning stuff in so a lot of stuff is on top of him anyways
Hi, my friend and I followed your build for the Scion and we really liked it. He doesn't play all that much so being able to be relevant with aura is great and it just works really well. So thanks for that build! I wanted to go Archmage that league and boy was I buffed by that budget aurabot. My dps nearly tripled, not including vaal haste. However I ran into some issue when playing solo, apparently they nerfed mp regen and my regen couldn't keep up with his haste and stuff. So I tried some odd vortex blade -herald of ash that seemed really good. It wrecks maps, totally obliterates them, but I get like no dps from my friend. which is kind of a bummer for when we wanna do bosses... because my ST dps isn't all that big (currently at 1.7m) You say spark is really good but I really don't like the spell. Do you have any suggestion on a build that would work well for solomapping but greatly benefit from your Scion's build? currently playing an inquisitor, i'm thinking about respecing AGAIN just to benefit from my friend auras properly.
@@snapow So I suppose a Blade Vortex double Herald Frost+Thunder+ filler non-aura-bot aura (purity seems a good choice if using Nebulis) would work just fine? Any recommantion on the ascendancy? Witch Golem? Assassin full crit? BattleMage Inquisitor? For any remotely "challenging" content I'd play with the aura bot, on my own it would just be mapping/dwelv, maybe some heist I've never really gave it a shot. Ty again for your answer
You don't need to add 90% aura eff in pob. There's a bunch of aura modifiers that don't show up in the aura mod breakdown, but still work perfectly fine. You can see this by comparing the actual values of the debuff applied before or after allocating the node.
Can you do a vid on itemization for league start? What I mean is whose build do you guys kit out first? Or like do you guys just buy each person 1 big needed item each and so on? And where does the first bit of currency come from? Is everyone just doing chaos recipe to get things rolling while you guys wait for those important uniques to pop up on trade alert? (Cuz alot of that build enabling stuff doesn't exist at league start I'm sure right?)
Snap, thanks for the video! I'm planning to run a 4-man (carry, aura, curse, mana guardian or culler)group play next league, and our 4th man would like to play Inquisitor as Mana Guardian. By saying that, I would like to ask: our carry (assassin spark) have enought damage to kill bosses and push to t16 maps, or do we need a Culler for that? If we do, Inquisitor Brand looks a better choice and better transition. The only thing that I still dont know is what are the good map options to farm (i'm planning Cemetery), neither if worths to farm Nemesis 3 or 100% delirium maps. I'm an experienced solo player, but never played the game as a group. Its a totally different strat tho. Any help is appreciated. Ty and kudos from Brazil.

Hey Snap. In your description you show 2 POB for DUO. You also write "you can hit 88 with the scion, but it's really hard to push it to 90", does that mean the aurabot is gonna solo map until lvl 88~ ? We don't map together since the beginning ? Also, the POB of the SPARK for DUO have Southbound but for DUO we have no culler so it's different gloves right ? And are we still playing Soul Ripper flask (aurabot and spark assassin) if we don't sextant lock the vaal soul sextant ? Also can't we just replace Malevolence by Haste for Spark ? 88 refers to the amount of overcapped resistance, not level of the character. Use asenaths instead of southbound if you are duo. Soul ripper is kind of whatever without the sextant. Dying sun is pretty good if you are playing spark. Haste is a good replacement for malevolence if you need cast speed of course.

I'm sure you've heard this before but you should get a pop filter for your mic, would reduce the aggressiveness of some of those 'sharper' sounds like the Ps and Ts
Hey Snap, I got another question. Im planning to play with 3 friends on league start and we're planning on going with: AoE carry, aura bot, curse bot, mana guardian. But my question is about the AoE carry, is it more worth running something like the spark assassin you mentioned in your description with 0 rarity/quantity gear. Or is it more worth running a lightning arrow build with full quant/rarity gear like the ones that ran tower solo in scourge league? And also, thanks for all that you do, really greatful :)
Why not run spark assasin with full MF? You get more dmg than on bow attackers and better clear. The only reason to play bow MFer is your preference really
you can totally run MF on spark if you just camp low tier deli. We sat in white maps all of scourge league. You can drop like 99% of the uniques you normally drop, it's just you can't drop mageblood or HH. Easy MF to jam in is biscos belt, biscos amulet, sadimas, goldwyrm. Ventors can be used but they are your biggest damage loss if you put them on. Greeds embrace is probably the next thing to put on
hey , dont know if this was answered somewhere else, if me and my friends want to start with a good party format, im the aurabot usually, is there a league start idea that can be followed ? or is it basically not usable until you have enough currency to get the key peices shown above? just seeing if theres a budget one to work into this awesome one
Thoughts on using Marylene's Fallacy instead of Badge of the Brotherhood? The Brittle flat crit from Secrets of Suffering largely if not entirely offsets the lowered crit chance so long as your (now much bigger) crit deals a big enough chunk of the enemy's HP. I found a good amount of success this league with it, though it is sometimes a little clunky with bigger enemies where you do much smaller hits until you get a crit, which applies a good Brittle effect that lets you crit every time and then they melt (I wasn't doing 100% Delirious maps, so Brittle effectiveness may be much lower with how much damage reduction there is in that content). I was also only in a party of 2 with no way of taking advantage of the max frenzies from BotB, so it seemed like a good choice especially on a budget.
seems pretty good with brittle not being nerfed. We'll try it out and see which ones feels better while mapping. The moment brittle gets nerfed badge is best in slot though i think
@@snapow Another thing to add is if you aren't getting Frenzy Charges you can also use a Militant Faith to turn Pain Attunement into Inner Conviction for a bunch more damage
@@Petriedish02 honestly not a bad idea for some builds, i think we prefer the cast speed though, it's really not a big deal to generate frenzies in 6 man party.
@@snapow That's fair, also any reason that the spark build goes down the right side of the tree instead of along the top this league? I saw people doing it on poe ninja in Scourge, but it seemed like you'd lose out 10-15% of the DPS, mostly due to having to anoint Overcharge instead of Prismatic Skin. Are the knockback mastery and bit of extra evasion worth the tradeoff?

as always the best guides for group comps, however i want to ask on how to level the assassin spark and scion, ik u switch to aurabot on lvl 32, but do u make it to 32 without needing to refund alot of points and also for the assassin what skill and pathing shoulld we take? ty in advanced
i have an in depth explanation on my aurabot a-z video i made 2-years back. The leveling setup is the exact same as I explained in that video. The basics are you come out of scion spell damage, rush master sapper, then path to mysticism and perhaps the proj damage nodes south of scion start. Then you just grab all the aura nodes after that and it's like ~10 regrets total to respec which you should get from the story. Frost bomb/oos/stormblast mine until level 12 and then lightning trap from 12-32
Hey Snap, thanks for the great guide. A few friends and I are going to give this a try for group play. I have a question about how Southbound gloves and Secrets of Suffering interact. With the gloves stopping you from killing anything that is not frozen and Secrets of Suffering stopping you from freezing anything - How do we kill things? Are some of the skills being used not considered on-hit thus bypassing Southbound gloves? I appreciate any help remedying my ignorance.

Thanks for the video Snap. Its gonna be my first time playing spark and I just wanted to ask if the jewel is still worth to take with the changes to it and what does the malevolence aura do for us in a duo setup or can we swap it out for haste for example
haste is 10000x times better. You can build a tiny amount of duration on the carry and it feels fine. Jewel i think is still worth using, the circular spark is nice, not mandatory
Hey snap, would you recommend using more rmr through voices/corruption and instead using sin treks? How does the no regen from Skyforth feel when you're in a duo party? Im currently using sins since I couldn't buy Skyforth and even wit 5.5k es and 83 res it's sometimes rippy. Can't imagine with skyforth

i would play a mine/trap build to push atlas and then respec once you are ready to do group farming. It's gonna be a much better time. Spark is super hard to level as. You can probably pull storm brand off the whole way but it's not gonna be amazing

If I want to level the scion aurabot to play with a friend at league start, do you still recommend lightning trap (+multiple traps) into Smite - Anger - Wrath - Generosity like in your older video? what would you play for the carry as a duo while leveling? Probably same as your campaign carry but what does he play? Then transition into a trapper/miner I guess for atlas progression, saw you recommend seismic trap but the idea of having the damage behind a cd from the trap is quite unappealing to me so any alternative or it's just waay superior than other options. In case of using seismic trap you said cold convert but would you convert directly to cold or to lightning then cold with cotb if obtainable early to have wrath apply aswell.
Do you need the sextant to make the scion aurabot work for duo? Your PoB for it shows vaal skills on so I'm figuring you'll have them up fairly often, or is there something I'm missing? Will the soul ripper keep them up close to all the time?

the first thing you add is 2x int + mana split personality jewels, they are insane for mana. You can then also look to start int-stacking on all your pieces of gear. Getting better mana rolls on everything and also having int on everything is pretty big for the build. Hello mr. SnapOW. I want to leaguestart as duo with me playing RoA and my friend playing aurabot but im concerned about progressing the atlas. What ascendancy do you recommend? I know that Pathfinder is better in low tiers and Deadeye / Berserker / Raider is better in high tier maps. Since we're playing in 2man, I'll have to be the one carring all maps. Im not playing anything else but RoA ... I love that skill.

you can't, just try to limit the amount of stuff it kills. You could obviously drop it, it's not super mandatory on the mana guardian, he's pretty unkillable anyways
Is there anyway you could include leveling recommendations for builds that can't level as what they end up as? I'm wondering if starting the assassin as sabo is still ideal if mines were nerfed, or if there's actually an assassin build you could level as before transitioning to spark/VBV if self cast is looking good
seismic trap is the best way to level both the shadow builds imo, i have a scion leveling guide on my old aurabot video that's still relevant today. Same with cursebot. The culler just goes roa windripper generic build. The mana guardian is planning on going ballista's at the moment
Getting back to party play this league - just curious about chaos damage vs the aurabot. Seems like with 14 unreserved life (even at 75% chaos res) you just instantly die to any chaos damage. I've looked at the PoB but can't find a way that we're dealing with that, what am I missing?
Thanks for this vid. Presumably the auras for inc damage and double damage only persist as long as your mines are active and not detnoated correct? If so how would you play this vs a boss, detonate a set to trigger blind then leave the mines undetonated on the ground for the aura?
Hi Snap, Was thinking about the new blessing support gem that is being added. It says on the notes that "Rework the Blessing mechanic of March of the Legion to limit the number of Blessings you can have to one". But do you think that the new blessing support gem can support up to 3 auras and the only 1 aura is only applied to the march of the legion boots? Maybe it still works then by having the 3 dps auras in the boots together with the new blessing gem.

definitely go traps/mines and switch to a spellcaster after 1 day or 2 imo. Seismic/explosive trap are pretty good choices. Exsang mines also top tier choice
Hey, I'm way too stupid to figure this out myself, but what would the #% dps increase be on spark with the new flat lightning at lvl 20? Might be hard to figure out, but would it be alot higher or just not that much of a difference?
it's gonna be higher but it's hard to calculate all the differences because the effectiveness of added damage is changing. Just wait until pob pushes an update.
BV is only for if you are running the sextant as he states in the video. since you cant run the sextant in a simulacrum, its safe to say spark is the better option.
As a duo group, should the carry go assassin from the beginning likke playing storm brand for leveling, or it is better to start miner then respec assassin when aurabot is well geared ? Thanks bro !

After they removed the +2 proj from the spark threshold jewel, do we need to get back those extra proj somewhere on the carry or does it not impact much? also is the jewel still worth using just for circle shooting?
you get +1 proj now at level 20 for free so it's not a big deal. The base damage went way up as well. The jewel is somewhat nice but not really mandatory anymore

I was wondering how important is getting the 3.0 aura effectiveness and if so how do we bridge that gap from 2.4 on the purity's as in on the POB to 3.0. Why necro on aurabot if vaal BV doesn't scale with cast speed? I guess attack/cast speed for culler is good and for storm brand but wouldn't it be better to go champ for 15% aura effect, might be able to push 1% more max res or guardian for non-armour phys red
While vaal BV doesn't scale well on cast speed, the initial cast still has a cast time. It's not an instant skill like other vaal skills. So cast speed does let you use the skill more frequently. It's just not as important as usual.
hey Snap, isnt spark going to be a lot stronger now that cast speed, damage effectiveness and base dmg is buffed significantly? it means that aurabot will boost spark's dmg a lot higher right?

you can use portal for high impact mines and have it reserve and cost 0 mana while being able to use arrogance for free aura effect :>

Literally any phys or lightning spell that you convert using call of the brotherhood +nebulis will work fine.

Snap, thanks for the video! I'm planning to run a 4-man (carry, aura, curse, mana guardian or culler)group play next league, and our 4th man would like to play Inquisitor as Mana Guardian. By saying that, I would like to ask: our carry (assassin spark) have enought damage to kill bosses and push to t16 maps, or do we need a Culler for that? If we do, Inquisitor Brand looks a better choice and better transition.
The only thing that I still dont know is what are the good map options to farm (i'm planning Cemetery), neither if worths to farm Nemesis 3 or 100% delirium maps. In your description you show 2 POB for DUO. You also write "you can hit 88 with the scion, but it's really hard to push it to 90", does that mean the aurabot is gonna solo map until lvl 88~ ? We don't map together since the beginning ? Also, the POB of the SPARK for DUO have Southbound but for DUO we have no culler so it's different gloves right ?
And are we still playing Soul Ripper flask (aurabot and spark assassin) if we don't sextant lock the vaal soul sextant ?
Also can't we just replace Malevolence by Haste for Spark ?

88 refers to the amount of overcapped resistance, not level of the character. Use asenaths instead of southbound if you are duo. Soul ripper is kind of whatever without the sextant. Dying sun is pretty good if you are playing spark. Haste is a good replacement for malevolence if you need cast speed of course.

Im planning to play with 3 friends on league start and we're planning on going with: AoE carry, aura bot, curse bot, mana guardian.
But my question is about the AoE carry, is it more worth running something like the spark assassin you mentioned in your description with 0 rarity/quantity gear.
Or is it more worth running a lightning arrow build with full quant/rarity gear like the ones that ran tower solo in scourge league?

Why not run spark assasin with full MF? You get more dmg than on bow attackers and better clear.

you can totally run MF on spark if you just camp low tier deli. We sat in white maps all of scourge league. You can drop like 99% of the uniques you normally drop, it's just you can't drop mageblood or HH. Easy MF to jam in is biscos belt, biscos amulet, sadimas, goldwyrm. Ventors can be used but they are your biggest damage loss if you put them on. Greeds embrace is probably the next thing to put on

Thoughts on using Marylene's Fallacy instead of Badge of the Brotherhood? The Brittle flat crit from Secrets of Suffering largely if not entirely offsets the lowered crit chance so long as your (now much bigger) crit deals a big enough chunk of the enemy's HP. I found a good amount of success this league with it, though it is sometimes a little clunky with bigger enemies where you do much smaller hits until you get a crit, which applies a good Brittle effect that lets you crit every time and then they melt (I wasn't doing 100% Delirious maps, so Brittle effectiveness may be much lower with how much damage reduction there is in that content). I was also only in a party of 2 with no way of taking advantage of the max frenzies from BotB, so it seemed like a good choice especially on a budget.
seems pretty good with brittle not being nerfed. We'll try it out and see which ones feels better while mapping. The moment brittle gets nerfed badge is best in slot though i think
@@snapow Another thing to add is if you aren't getting Frenzy Charges you can also use a Militant Faith to turn Pain Attunement into Inner Conviction for a bunch more damage

I saw people doing it on poe ninja in Scourge, but it seemed like you'd lose out 10-15% of the DPS, mostly due to having to anoint Overcharge instead of Prismatic Skin. Are the knockback mastery and bit of extra evasion worth the tradeoff?

i have an in depth explanation on my aurabot a-z video i made 2-years back. The leveling setup is the exact same as I explained in that video. The basics are you come out of scion spell damage, rush master sapper, then path to mysticism and perhaps the proj damage nodes south of scion start. Then you just grab all the aura nodes after that and it's like ~10 regrets total to respec which you should get from the story. Frost bomb/oos/stormblast mine until level 12 and then lightning trap from 12-32

With the gloves stopping you from killing anything that is not frozen and Secrets of Suffering stopping you from freezing anything - How do we kill things?

Thanks for the video Snap. Its gonna be my first time playing spark and I just wanted to ask if the jewel is still worth to take with the changes to it and what does the malevolence aura do for us in a duo setup or can we swap it out for haste for example
haste is 10000x times better. You can build a tiny amount of duration on the carry and it feels fine. Jewel i think is still worth using, the circular spark is nice, not mandatory

i would play a mine/trap build to push atlas and then respec once you are ready to do group farming. It's gonna be a much better time. Spark is super hard to level as. You can probably pull storm brand off the whole way but it's not gonna be amazing

Then transition into a trapper/miner I guess for atlas progression, saw you recommend seismic trap but the idea of having the damage behind a cd from the trap is quite unappealing to me so any alternative or it's just waay superior than other options. In case of using seismic trap you said cold convert but would you convert directly to cold or to lightning then cold with cotb if obtainable early to have wrath apply aswell.
cold convert using gloves + watchers eye and/or tree is the easiest way to get to 100%. Seismic is king early on to be honest
Do you need the sextant to make the scion aurabot work for duo? Your PoB for it shows vaal skills on so I'm figuring you'll have them up fairly often, or is there something I'm missing? Will the soul ripper keep them up close to all the time?

It's not about items it's about stats. You obviously need 2 nebulis. Then like 85 % overcap and maybe 20k armor is enough to start

the first thing you add is 2x int + mana split personality jewels, they are insane for mana. You can then also look to start int-stacking on all your pieces of gear. Getting better mana rolls on everything and also having int on everything is pretty big for the build. you can't, just try to limit the amount of stuff it kills. You could obviously drop it, it's not super mandatory on the mana guardian, he's pretty unkillable anyways

I'm wondering if starting the assassin as sabo is still ideal if mines were nerfed, or if there's actually an assassin build you could level as before transitioning to spark/VBV if self cast is looking good
seismic trap is the best way to level both the shadow builds imo, i have a scion leveling guide on my old aurabot video that's still relevant today. Same with cursebot. The culler just goes roa windripper generic build. The mana guardian is planning on going ballista's at the moment

Getting back to party play this league - just curious about chaos damage vs the aurabot. Seems like with 14 unreserved life (even at 75% chaos res) you just instantly die to any chaos damage. I've looked at the PoB but can't find a way that we're dealing with that, what am I missing?

Thanks for this vid. Presumably the auras for inc damage and double damage only persist as long as your mines are active and not detnoated correct? If so how would you play this vs a boss, detonate a set to trigger blind then leave the mines undetonated on the ground for the aura?
you should just get blind from disorienting display
Also you have a blinding aura that isn't too small. Just stand close to the boss.

It says on the notes that "Rework the Blessing mechanic of March of the Legion to limit the number of Blessings you can have to one". But do you think that the new blessing support gem can support up to 3 auras and the only 1 aura is only applied to the march of the legion boots? Maybe it still works then by having the 3 dps auras in the boots together with the new blessing gem.

it's gonna be higher but it's hard to calculate all the differences because the effectiveness of added damage is changing. Just wait until pob pushes an update.

it's not really usable unless you can bypass the cost with vaal clarity and similar effects (focus on amulet craft)

After they removed the +2 proj from the spark threshold jewel, do we need to get back those extra proj somewhere on the carry or does it not impact much? also is the jewel still worth using just for circle shooting?
you get +1 proj now at level 20 for free so it's not a big deal. The base damage went way up as well. The jewel is somewhat nice but not really mandatory anymore

I was wondering how important is getting the 3.0 aura effectiveness and if so how do we bridge that gap from 2.4 on the purity's as in on the POB to 3.0. Or am I missing something important! :D Once again thanks for the videos, they really help in teaching us!
3.0 is pretty impossible after all the nerfs. 87 overcap is respectable however. And the nebulis carry just annoints +2 max resistance

Why necro on aurabot if vaal BV doesn't scale with cast speed? I guess attack/cast speed for culler is good and for storm brand but wouldn't it be better to go champ for 15% aura effect, might be able to push 1% more max res or guardian for non-armour phys red
While vaal BV doesn't scale well on cast speed, the initial cast still has a cast time. It's not an instant skill like other vaal skills. So cast speed does let you use the skill more frequently. It's just not as important as usual.

Spark is really amazing yes. I just think vaal bv is better coverage in our scenario. Spark is gonna be best for general content however.
