      ​@hircynowca8406 It's not compassion, even when people are well intentioned. Assisting orphaned infants should involve a sanctuary and - whenever - possible - rehabilitation to the wild. That's not what this was. Chains etc? Not acceptable.

      Ego. Unlike other previously wild animals - horses, donkeys, small felines, dogs, etc. - bears, lions, tigers, etc. are far too big and far too dangerous to be anything except wild. It is the same reason why though an equine zebras are not pets... they're a lot more dangerous than horses or donkeys due to Africas numerous predatory animals.

    Wild animals aren't pets. U can't keep a bear, any type of bear, chained up in a flimsy cage. The guy, dhould have know better

    How dare he save a cub only to chain him up and abuse him yes that is abuse. Grumble probably remembered what he did to him mom. It's also sad that the dog perished.

      Grumble's agression had nothing to do what he did to his mom, otherwise would have attacked him sooner. His rage was clearly out of instinct. He was hindered from his instinctive drive to find a natural place for hibernation. Similar scenario happened to other bear-keepers too who did not do any violence to their mother.

    Sad but ,it was his own fault. We have seen so many times before in the past,the consequences of people trying to domesticate wild animals!😮😢

      How many times? Also how many successful stories are there? Is it like school shootings where you could go to school for 1000 years without being subject to 1 or is it more probable?

      ​​​@@alexlarson2203Totally unrelated example. Bear keeping usually will not end well unless you are a zoo and able to provide the bear with their biological needs, such as finding a spot that resebles natural habitat to go to winter-sleep. And not keeping them in a cage next to a forest.

    Hate it when people trap animals in those cruel traps. Keeping a wild animal and not understanding its natural urges is a recipe for disaster. Not much sympathy for this man. Poor dogs😢

    It's a wild animal that can't be domesticated but they become more violent when held in captivity due to stress

      In a zoo they are also captive, but their accomodation resembles a natural habitat (cave) where they can go in winter-sleep. All similar stories I have came across so far, happened near winter-sleep time, when the bear wanted to search an acceptable (=instinct-maching) place for the hibernation period.

    In the bear pov, it was simply trying to regain its freedom and fight to escape the lifelong imprisonment from the clutch of someone that once killed its mother (and given specific situation, might kill him as well)
    My condolence for sergey but the bear really had a sad life bcs of him, so yeah...

      @@tek87 then he could just help the cub to survive and when he grows let him free in nature, the bear wanted to escape but he kept him chained in a cage, that was stupid, he should just let the bear go when he wanted to go

    I am even cautious around my two pet dogs, a Siberian Husky and a Terrier mix. Domesticate, yes, but my Husky is an escape artist! Terrible tragedy.

    You cannot Keep an animal that was built by nature over many thousands of years to live in forests, in a cage. If it's a baby bear, leave it alone. It lives by it's instincts & doesn't need anyone. You may look but don't touch

    He should have never tried to keep a bear in a cage and on a chain. It was only a matter of time before this happened. They are not meant to be confined like this. Such a sad life for that bear.

    Sergewy should have released the bear back into the wild when it grew up a bit. It most likely hated being chained up and later locked in a cage.

    Apex predators are not pets, I sometimes see some youtubers channels with leopards, bears and other dangerous animals as pets and ppl saying ''oh how cute'', ''princess is so fluffy'', etc.
    People need to remember that tragedy can come any day, any second without prior warning no matter how ''strong'' your bond is with a wild animal or how well you think you are ''prepared'' specially with these predators that can and will maime, kill and eat you (alive sometimes) and have this instinct engraved into their DNA.

    He wouldn't had used a chain on him if he loved the bear, he would hit and beat the bear and chain him to control him. It was not loved, it was owned. It as a free bear in the woods and he chained it up not to be free. If he loved the animal, it would be free and just stuck around out of loyalty not ownership.

    When will these people learn these wild animals are wild for a reason they are not meant to be pets, noone can change them because that is not why they were created! Keeping them in a cage with chains around neck is cruel, you can't change them look what happened to this fool. What is even worse after being in captivity the animal was shot and that is what the tragedy is

    The irony of it, Looks like karma does pay you back though. Not many Russians ( that Ive seen on RUclips that is) have bad luck with bears, usually have great bonds with bears. I guess in this case, He killed many animals as well. And was KILLED by one.
