    I tend to dry bind the bricks and not measure as you can see if to open or close perps as I don’t think using a tape always works well

    • @BrickWork-bY-B
      @BrickWork-bY-B  Год назад +1

      Very true...i do lay the bricks dry every 900 or 1800 but usually i go with measurement that i have on drawing and divide it

    Mate quick tip if muck is wet chuck a thermolite block or 2 in it suck the moisture up

    • @BrickWork-bY-B
      @BrickWork-bY-B  Год назад

      Hi Steven
      Full tub of muck been wet as its been mixed like that 😮 was that ready powder just chuck in the mixer and add water
      And the concrete blocks wet aswel
      Usually we get another mix on with dry muck but everything there was so slow ..
      I was thinking the worse job but been somewhere where concrete been 70mm out up,down and everywhere,no room or drawings to crack on....but never back there again.
      Good site bad sites...
      Its wha we choose to do
      But everything got a limit...

    I agree. The worst thing ever is to get to a job site with a bad footing.

  • @christophervane6428
    @christophervane6428 Год назад +1

    Do u not lay 2 blocks flat 18 inch to bump up first course. Were on big block of flats at minute and concrete is 70 mil out so done blocks flat to grind the high corners and then done same on low corners to bump up. Had to put 2 slips instead of a dolly in places but we do blocks flat as quicker and easier to get the heights and it hits them in the pocket coz loads more blocks in the footing

    • @BrickWork-bY-B
      @BrickWork-bY-B  Год назад

      All my respect...
      I cant use slips as they dont have any and cant use blocks flat as we gonna get sacked (or our foreman will)....
      We did grind down one side and balance the difference....
      It will be nice to do it your way and earn a bit more but not possible here ..
      We did it on other sites but not here
      Thank you Christopher

    • @fabiandegussion5134
      @fabiandegussion5134 Год назад +1

      That’s brick gauge , so you saying one corner is 70 mm lower than the rest ?! It’s clear the heights had been changed after first corner. No one is that shyt to get it 70 mm low.

    • @fabiandegussion5134
      @fabiandegussion5134 Год назад +1

      And you tried to pick up 70 mm ?!?! Wtf ! Why not grind down 5 mm and have an extra course on. You clearly not a bricklayer just a self taught trowel hand. I’d hate to see your above damp work. You have a lot to learn

    • @BrickWork-bY-B
      @BrickWork-bY-B  Год назад

      Concrete 70mm out
      We did use slips under and bring it to same level like the rest of the corners...
      In the end block work work 15 mm low but we gain it on the brick work
      You know wha i mean?
      We just adjust it to make it 👍
