Glad to see you enjoying iida, hes been my main and i want to share a couple of stuff i found for ppl interested, sorry if this is long : -While alpha >alpha >alpha can combo in itself, some found out that you can use alpha > alpha> Air Melee to finish off the string without sacrificing much damage but also saving an alpha use if you want to escape or push - Alpha> alpha > beta also is a good combo and the highest damaging iida combo (outside of Gamma mode only combo which i will talk abt) -You can use gamma in the air to get the jump without going into gamma mode itself by canceling the startup (when iida starts running in his place) with a roll, this comes up sometimes when you try to get on buildings and is a decent movement tech -Gamma mode is completely different and has more interesting aspects other than the mouvement speed, some lethal combo options becomes available for iida, the most important one is Beta > Alpha > Beta, with Beta at lvl 6 this combo basically is a guaranteed death combo on anyone in the roster after they got their shield broken I dont recommend goong for gamma mode just for this, but of you do, you can use this (Plus ultra mode eliminates gamma penalty so you can use this combo without reprecussion) I didnt go through everything the character can do, but this is mainly some of the stuff that can be valuable for anyone trying to pick the character, if you want to check more tech about the character Valkyrja has done a couple videos covering a lot of aspects of Iida including what i mentionned, as well as Narny's advanced combo guide which also covers some interesting routes not only for iida but every character
From what I understand, alpha > alpha > alpha isn't true if you press space to air recover. Although it'll work against most people who don't know that.

Lida is one of the stronger characters in this game, you need to play him differently, more hit and run going between different fights never allowing the enemy to heal, while your allies supply sustained damage. His boost is better used to chase people trying to escape a fight or to pickup a downed ally.
The only thing I would give him at this moment is the ability to cancel his Y. I think Ida is strong and extremely annoying to fight against. He occupies the same place as Sui, be annoying and interrupt and disrupt enemies, then retreat. And occasionally pick up teammates. I don’t know if he can run up walls while he carries though, I haven’t personally played him that much so I haven’t tried.
Allowing him to cancel gamma would be ... I dunno.. It sounds good on paper, but it would be hilariously hard to balance given how slippery he already is. And he can indeed run up walls with allies
What they need to fix is uravity. Her grapple actually just doesn't work 90% of the time and I'm almost 100% sure it's a bug. It doesn't work while you're jumping and you have to be at the end of your jump animation to get your grapple to work, sometimes it goes through buildings and also the biggest issue, it doesn't work in typhoon zone at all, like none of the buildings can be grappled to by uravity alone. This is especially odd because froppy and blackwhip do not have this issue and it is a uravity only bug. It feels like this character was just made to be bottom 1 I don't know why she's like this
It totally is an error, tsuyu doesnt whiff her grapple on buildings, at all. It doesn’t go through anything and its only wonky on the edges of roofs, meanwhile uravity’s grapple is as if you were always hitting the corner or a roof.
Normally I like to save the third hit of the alpha in case I need to fly back, so I combine it with a melee hit as a finisher, doesn't do great damage nor shield damage, but the knockback is insane! Then I can come back in with one charge of alpha into iida kick
It's because most Iida's aren't using his passive to the best of of his ability. You're supposed to run on walls, and jump off them, going even faster and higher in any direction basically. You can even run sideways and downwards. It helps immensely when running away or chasing down opponents. It's crazy good.
@Obad87 he is faster than bakugo and tsu with max gamma he can travel half the map in less then 10 seconds and thats only his gamma if we count his alfa and beta he is even faster and if you activite plus ultra with his gamma he is insanly fast. He has also insane vertical mobility that no other character has so he is the fastest charcter.

Those little special movements are NOTHING compared to the super short CD of Ida beta and alpha movements as well as his fast fall movements using gamma. There are a lot of combos with this charachter that werent showcased in this video. I think he was the biggest skill ceiling in the game. I don't think he needs any changes
ive only been playing as Ida and his speed has already been outmatched by Toga, Bakugo, and Froppie. Froggo makes more sense though I still think she needs a nerf, but the other characters make no sense for being different types. I always go in so confident when they try fleeing and I go for the chase as Ida, only to realize I LITERALLY cannot catch up with them it doesn't make any type of sense. Otherwise he is so incredibly fun and I don't have the need to grind for anyone else to use
Iida is a solid character I think he is at the stage where if the change him to much he will become really bad and if they do it in the wrong way he to strong but my personal favorite way to play Iida is leveling the gamma then beta then alpha I also use the gamma in the middle of battle because the gamma increases attack speed
Gamma is mostly situational. You don't WANT to use it in a fight usually unless you are attempting to catch a runner or escape a fight or save an ally. Beta is FAR more reliable to level first. The tracking and range on it is absolutely bonkers.
Alpha, Alpha, Beta is a better combo than just Alpha, and is easy to hit And you forget to mention that the Recipro boost also boost the speed you open chests
they need to fix their anti cheat everygame i literally get people with hacks and its obvious their skills have no cooldown and their immortal they never die

Just mash it if you want to connect 3 alphas. It’ll autocorrect after the initial hit connects. You’ll want to use the beta after two alphas normally anyway.
Deku's missing his whole character same with shigiraki and Dabi and shoto missing flamethrower attacks. Iida has armor during some attacks which is mad annoying. Also Debku st louis smash tracking is bugged and black whip is buggy as well like uraraka alpha.
It's a fun game but I feel that basic attacks are lacking. It would be cool if there was a heavy attack or a dash attack or something. Just feels like it needs to be expanded.
I think these characters are too good but I won’t complain for nerf :lida,froppy, momo and I know he just got his buff but kirishima is powerful and let’s not talk about a level up shigaraki
He has an absurd mobility, a 3-combo that keeps you IN THE AIR, a skill that makes him EVEN FASTER, a kick that hurts a lot with 2 charges and can travel very far chasing the opponent and you want MORE?
The game feels like shit solely for how small the map is for a battle royal. You get into a fight and immediately 2 teams come out of nowhere because players have nowhere to go. And most of the loot isnt picked up because of how fast the storm closes. They didn’t think about how these characters would interact with the map. Almost feels like 2 separate teams working on characters and the map itself. A way to make this bearable is by lowering the amount of teams per match. Theres almost zero time to breath and theres nothing more annoying than getting into a fight escaping and getting fought by 2 more teams that randomly choose to target you instead of each other after trying to do that for the first 4 mins of the match (but i watch for globku 🙏🏽)
Please do your magic talk to the creators make them have Uraraka pick up her teammates with zero gravity that would be amazing though I’m not a uraraka player
The moment the engine stalls i get third partyed and have to eat the damage that leaves me with no health i think idas main flaw is that frauppy is just better
Froppy overall doesn't feel BETTER to me. Ida has far better tracking on his abilities and more escapes then her. Her biggest plus is that she has an instant revive and doesn't need to pick up and carry. (stupid btw)
The alpha is not a true combo, you can air recover out of the first hit. It only works if your opponent doesn’t recover, which means it doesn’t work if you opponent isn’t kinda new.
Uh.. Pretty sure this is wrong. I've button mashed my ass off for this games entire existence when hit by his first alpha and I can safely say you cannot escape it currently. Maybe without guard? But still I haven't seen it work.
I honestly heavy disagree with the kendo interaction. A lot of skills bounce of her shield but for some reason he does not. I'm not saying she should hard counter him or something but it makes little sense that it just ignores it entirely while you can literally bounce off her shield as a giant mount lady with her slide kick -.-
Wow. Surprised you didn’t use Alpha -> Alpha -> Kick as your bread and butter. It does very high damage and the enemy usually won’t fall out of it. And that leaves an alpha and Beta quirk in stock to escape. Also, to add Iida Bets is good for mobility. But only use it once as it completely stops your forward momentum. After you use it then use Gamma and cancel out of it with a dodge. You will fall to the ground and be able to keep running. Only other Iida’s and Tsuyu will realistically be able to consistently chase you if you perfect this.
I personally prefer alpha alpha into melee kick then hit them with the Beta kick the moment they lose their I-frames, there's just something so satisfying about doing it lol
He’s definitely balanced from the beta, once his Gamma ran out, he could just use his other specials for movement making the downside basically irrelevant, so they saw it as a design flaw and made the move do what it intended, to be a “risky maneuver”
Which is stupid because you have Bakugo ,Tsuyu High level slide Todoroki and Ochaco (if her grapple works) who are all able to keep up with him pretty much but Iida is the only one punished for it
@@Dusse_Bigelo you’re mostly supposed to hit and run with him, take out a shield and get out of there, he starts the fights and he joins the fights but when he stays in one after initiating the fight then of course he’ll be the big target, he’s mostly supposed to be annoying for the opponents other teammates, if they don’t focus on you then they’ll attack your allies, meaning you can kick them in the back of the head and run off to fight another of the opponent’s teammates
@@Ryu459 it’s not really, for one it makes sense for logical reasons. He can’t use his legs for a bit after after using that power up in the anime, so it makes sense if it’s the same way in the game which is just attention to detail imo. He basically dominated the beta before the game came out BECAUSE he could consistently be on the move with no downside, even if they can catch up to him, they also use their resources so you can easily punish them for trying to catch you. Bakugou isn’t that fast to the point he can run across the map, eventually he’ll have to shoot you from a range and Iida will still be on the run. As for Froppy, yeah she’ll be annoying but you can avoid her with enough time for your teammates to join in. Todoroki is also not as fast to catch up to you, nor can he move vertically very well
Bringing up anime accurate doesn't work my guy because look at dabi, Shoto, Deku and shigiraki and tell me with a straight face these guys are anime accurate. No Falmethrower attacks on shoto and dabi. Vigilante Deku is his most recent kit and Shigiraki got all of AFO's quirks yet uses none of them in MHUR and Deku is a sniper when he is known for being a rapid in the series.@@revya4294
You know there's a problem when bakugo is faster and more mobile than Ida whose whole quirk is about movement and speed. Sue and uraraka are also faster. Idk why they made Ida so slow.
@zelfa1616 I wouldn't say all might so much in terms of snipe, only cus I'm sure it's still shorter than bakugos and even dekus. he does have insane mobility but I think that's very anime accurate so it's okay especially since his beta quirk doesn't have the soft lock on some others do
I don't know if I am the only one. But, even after the patches, this game still feels really unbalanced, or at least the characters with more utility under their belt have less of a hill to climb than others. Even though, Deku, who I play the most, is well balanced and good in his own right. He struggles when you are fighting with characters that have big area of effect attacks. And when I play with Ida, characters like Momo can really play him like a piano. (Note. You can dodge his kicks when timed well.) I just find this game gives less room for error, damage given so high, and I feel the window for beginners is too small. I am either paired up with players who are just starting themselves, or up against teams who steam roll me. Rank or Unrank. They gave Kirishima buffs, and even an extra attack on his existing one, then I feel they can give those to the characters that aren't getting much love. That's just one of my concerns for this game, on top of some bugs and wishes to add into the core game.
Im having a hard time using the 3 hit Combo, i did it once on accident but was never able to do it again...does it automadictly lock on and all i got to do is push 3 Times really fast or what am i doing wrong?
IIda has prob has the 1 of highest skill ceilings along with cementos > IIda can either be almost unbeatable or hot garbage depending on who is playing him > I don’t even play IIda but celebrate when one matches up 😂 & just pray he is a good team player
I had an Iida player leave the match as i was finishing once preventing me from getting Guard Points which later got me killed. Iida players are rats i tell you! At least that’s what i think happened they just disappeared mid finish.
"Does iida suck against dodging?" Yes... all melee characters suck against it... it's annoying af x.x even range can suck against rolling, need to change it or something
I think the game is fun, but monetization model made me uninstall. 200 is a really high pity, 2 week reset is silly, pull cost is too high, really bad skins being considered 3 star most likely to dilute character pulls, characters locked behind poor pity system. The system is fine for the 30-50% of the community that pulled characters, but if it keeps up it won’t be able to sustain player loss. It’s also got major titles coming up that it needs to survive against. It’s gonna need the MHA fan base to survive. Battle royals need large player bases to survive, so I’m curios to see if it can make it despite the cash grab direction. I know my friend group already put it away atm.
I think him not being able to use any skills while stalled is too much. Lower the damage or something. Bc of that i usually kick ida mains out the party. If they aren't really good they spend more time running away than in the fights.
Hes bascially a hit and run character like froggy. They actually don't have the actual "ammo" to have sustained fights. The difference is froggy that's not an issue because of her range and mobltiy and hard to hit body meaning she can lick get to cover or dodge effetively while shooting( if you actually land her attack she does a grapple that auto dodges for you in the air) meaning she can out trade pretty much the entire roster by either dodging or corner. Ida has none of this. He has to be fully exposed to do any damage meaning most characters just outrade him so hes a worse duelist than froggy, way less survivable, and has all of her weaknesses without any of her strenths. His only upside is his melee attack requires less skill than froggy and that's about it.

They aren't that good if they spend more time running than fighting. The basic combo is useful for the stalls and Ida mains know not to level up recipero until they almost stall(leveling up recipero while in it prevents stall)

i agree with this video. a in-sane iida came up to my team and told us to march back in lobby. basically he can for sure 1v3

It speeds up all actions, including drinking Potions. Great tool to try and use the Team Heal quicker than normal.
I tried to open chests and drink potions while in boost and see no difference. Is it so small or there is no boost?

3 hit alpha is not a real combo on normal HP as they can air recover, only real on guard, But if he's in gamma mode it's always real
bro lida best character in game easily. he’s boost op to carry teammates to safety and his melee has insane speed it’s impossible to hit him

Globku don't always use ur 3 hit combo instead you can do 2 hits then a light attack in the air or the kick

As an Iida main I see no problems
The moment the engine stalls i get third partyed and have to eat the damage that leaves me with no health i think idas main flaw is that frauppy is just better
Froppy overall doesn't feel BETTER to me. Ida has far better tracking on his abilities and more escapes then her. Her biggest plus is that she has an instant revive and doesn't need to pick up and carry. (stupid btw)
His special action should’ve been recibral burst where his damage speed and mobility get a extra boost for 30 seconds or whatever
The alpha is not a true combo, you can air recover out of the first hit. It only works if your opponent doesn’t recover, which means it doesn’t work if you opponent isn’t kinda new.
Uh.. Pretty sure this is wrong. I've button mashed my ass off for this games entire existence when hit by his first alpha and I can safely say you cannot escape it currently.
Maybe without guard? But still I haven't seen it work.
@@Am4t3r4su you just press jump. It’s an air recovery, you can do it anytime, it’s guaranteed.

I honestly heavy disagree with the kendo interaction. A lot of skills bounce of her shield but for some reason he does not. I'm not saying she should hard counter him or something but it makes little sense that it just ignores it entirely while you can literally bounce off her shield as a giant mount lady with her slide kick -.-

Wow. Surprised you didn’t use Alpha -> Alpha -> Kick as your bread and butter.
It does very high damage and the enemy usually won’t fall out of it. And that leaves an alpha and Beta quirk in stock to escape.
Also, to add Iida Bets is good for mobility. But only use it once as it completely stops your forward momentum.
After you use it then use Gamma and cancel out of it with a dodge. You will fall to the ground and be able to keep running. Only other Iida’s and Tsuyu will realistically be able to consistently chase you if you perfect this.
I personally prefer alpha alpha into melee kick then hit them with the Beta kick the moment they lose their I-frames, there's just something so satisfying about doing it lol

The game need tl add villains.. theres 4 villains and 14 heroes and they are gonna add 2 more heroes,where is muscular? Stain? Overhaul?
He’s definitely balanced from the beta, once his Gamma ran out, he could just use his other specials for movement making the downside basically irrelevant, so they saw it as a design flaw and made the move do what it intended, to be a “risky maneuver”
He only has close range melee attacks anything he does is risky
Which is stupid because you have Bakugo ,Tsuyu High level slide Todoroki and Ochaco (if her grapple works) who are all able to keep up with him pretty much but Iida is the only one punished for it
@@Dusse_Bigelo you’re mostly supposed to hit and run with him, take out a shield and get out of there, he starts the fights and he joins the fights but when he stays in one after initiating the fight then of course he’ll be the big target, he’s mostly supposed to be annoying for the opponents other teammates, if they don’t focus on you then they’ll attack your allies, meaning you can kick them in the back of the head and run off to fight another of the opponent’s teammates
@@Ryu459 it’s not really, for one it makes sense for logical reasons. He can’t use his legs for a bit after after using that power up in the anime, so it makes sense if it’s the same way in the game which is just attention to detail imo. He basically dominated the beta before the game came out BECAUSE he could consistently be on the move with no downside, even if they can catch up to him, they also use their resources so you can easily punish them for trying to catch you. Bakugou isn’t that fast to the point he can run across the map, eventually he’ll have to shoot you from a range and Iida will still be on the run. As for Froppy, yeah she’ll be annoying but you can avoid her with enough time for your teammates to join in. Todoroki is also not as fast to catch up to you, nor can he move vertically very well
Bringing up anime accurate doesn't work my guy because look at dabi, Shoto, Deku and shigiraki and tell me with a straight face these guys are anime accurate. No Falmethrower attacks on shoto and dabi. Vigilante Deku is his most recent kit and Shigiraki got all of AFO's quirks yet uses none of them in MHUR and Deku is a sniper when he is known for being a rapid in the series.@@revya4294

You know there's a problem when bakugo is faster and more mobile than Ida whose whole quirk is about movement and speed. Sue and uraraka are also faster. Idk why they made Ida so slow.
It’s mainly that they are too fast. Bakugo and almight especially, being ranged sniper champs
@zelfa1616 I wouldn't say all might so much in terms of snipe, only cus I'm sure it's still shorter than bakugos and even dekus. he does have insane mobility but I think that's very anime accurate so it's okay especially since his beta quirk doesn't have the soft lock on some others do

I don't know if I am the only one. But, even after the patches, this game still feels really unbalanced, or at least the characters with more utility under their belt have less of a hill to climb than others. Even though, Deku, who I play the most, is well balanced and good in his own right. He struggles when you are fighting with characters that have big area of effect attacks. And when I play with Ida, characters like Momo can really play him like a piano. (Note. You can dodge his kicks when timed well.)
I just find this game gives less room for error, damage given so high, and I feel the window for beginners is too small. I am either paired up with players who are just starting themselves, or up against teams who steam roll me. Rank or Unrank. They gave Kirishima buffs, and even an extra attack on his existing one, then I feel they can give those to the characters that aren't getting much love. That's just one of my concerns for this game, on top of some bugs and wishes to add into the core game.

IIda has prob has the 1 of highest skill ceilings along with cementos > IIda can either be almost unbeatable or hot garbage depending on who is playing him > I don’t even play IIda but celebrate when one matches up 😂 & just pray he is a good team player

I had an Iida player leave the match as i was finishing once preventing me from getting Guard Points which later got me killed.

I think the game is fun, but monetization model made me uninstall. 200 is a really high pity, 2 week reset is silly, pull cost is too high, really bad skins being considered 3 star most likely to dilute character pulls, characters locked behind poor pity system. The system is fine for the 30-50% of the community that pulled characters, but if it keeps up it won’t be able to sustain player loss. It’s also got major titles coming up that it needs to survive against. It’s gonna need the MHA fan base to survive. Battle royals need large player bases to survive, so I’m curios to see if it can make it despite the cash grab direction. I know my friend group already put it away atm.

I think him not being able to use any skills while stalled is too much. Lower the damage or something. Bc of that i usually kick ida mains out the party. If they aren't really good they spend more time running away than in the fights.

Hes bascially a hit and run character like froggy. They actually don't have the actual "ammo" to have sustained fights. The difference is froggy that's not an issue because of her range and mobltiy and hard to hit body meaning she can lick get to cover or dodge effetively while shooting( if you actually land her attack she does a grapple that auto dodges for you in the air) meaning she can out trade pretty much the entire roster by either dodging or corner. Ida has none of this. He has to be fully exposed to do any damage meaning most characters just outrade him so hes a worse duelist than froggy, way less survivable, and has all of her weaknesses without any of her strenths. His only upside is his melee attack requires less skill than froggy and that's about it.

They aren't that good if they spend more time running than fighting. The basic combo is useful for the stalls and Ida mains know not to level up recipero until they almost stall(leveling up recipero while in it prevents stall)
@wrightwright4214 exactly. I hope they can figure something out for him. I get his quirk doesn't leave many options but damn. He's in the conversation for the worse character to me
