As someone who plays Ibara, I have learnt that sometimes just jumping and using alpha is better than scoping since sometimes sacrificing damage for spread is just better
Spots like 7:40 are perfect for Ibara since her vines camouflage almost perfectly within the trees and bushes. It’s like attacking with/getting attacked by nature itself. Glad to see someone going through the same struggles with her as I did! 😅
As an Ibara main Gold 2, 1.80 KD you got it right you need a team. You need good comps, and communication but she absolutely shines then. It’s hard for us to even lose with her on point, she’s a super heavy damage up close combatant. Most players forget this and I tend to just wreck them when they push in.
Yeah, between Ibara and Cementoss, I've been having a lot more fun as Cementoss personally. He has a lot of tools Ibara simply lacks (like being able to use the Beta Quirk to set up a wall when reviving allies or finishing enemies)

I couldn't help but chuckle the other day when I realized that a lady with plants for hair basically plants herself (or roots herself lol) every time she attacks. I think this is my biggest issue with her tbh.
I'm also trying to main her. Her damage is bonkers. Her grab at lvl 9 does 3/4 hp and bypasses the shield. I love her design. I wish she had more screentime in the series.
PSA If you know that you have a player with no movement ability, please cover for them and don’t run off too far from them. With that said. Dabi players you are my best friend when playing Shiozaki. Also some tips. Shiozaki alpha can bypass todoroki shield and immediately destroy momo shield. I’d say play her more like a keep away character and keep yourself in the back to be able to revive whenever needed.
She's a very weird very good in niche scenarios, ON HER OWN. On a pre-made team with communication, she is an absolute beast. Positioning is key and isolating targets are a huge plus for her. Plus you can always get nice poke damage in teamfights from like 3-4 buildings over.
My fist match as Ibara I was with my team in the last few circles and we were closed off of typhoon zone and the were 4 teams in total I crossed the corner and downed a whole squad with a single alpha shoot and we needed up winning the match
ive been trying ibara for a while because ive unlocked her and her skills are really so punishable because of how it works...alpha has decent range and damage but if you dont hit it youre just a free target for that duration. i also find her beta so akward to use and her gamma with its melee range is also awkward like you need to stick close to your teammate or go to front to use it cuz its melee. its also punishable when youre in open area with multimple enemies. when you capture an enemy with your gamma youre also a free target for that duration which just makes it a trade
It’s probably just me but she’s so hard to unlock in my opinion, like out of the 3, I’ve gotten Kirishima and Yaoyorozu 3 times and still no Shiozaki, I normally play her with the character points
Help, I need a counter to that damn annoying frog character, she always kills all of me and my team and Im starting to have a personal issue with the character
As someone who mains shio, I picked her up really easily. I always chase down opponents as her because we’ll what are they gonna do run from my cross map attack 🗿. She’s really good at attacking and I often just push heavy with her and poke and other players all the time. Her beta is way better then her Y because her Y makes you stay still and if a team or other team is around the area you’ll be vulnerable to all the hits they give you. And you don’t fall out of damage in that state so if you get caught your dead. There’s no canceling the move at all once you have someone you have to wait. I don’t ever use it I go alpha 9 and then beta 9. On enemy teams SHES threat number 1 since everyone else got nerfed. SHIO GANG
I stil haven't rolled her yet. Got Momo and Eijiro but not her. Its frustrating now because I was saving to buy her with exchange points since I had 104 but now since the patch my points were reset to zero. I now have only 28😭 I won't play her much but I just want to have her.
The teammates make the game harder than it needs to be tbh. Speaking as a solo q that always ends up fending for myself as a whole squad jumps me while the other 2 are fucking off somewhere on the map.

i personally hate this character, once she get you with i think is her alpha you are forever in a loop till you die (or have super good mobility to avoid the next hit). as kendo, kirishima and momo there is no nothing you can do to avoid or beat her without allies
She feels dumb strong to me, i think people hardcore overvalue mobility in this game because theyd rather have get out of jail free cards than strategize...i say this as a decenrly ranked player woth more wins than losses in solo and trio

Me and my friend are going CRAZY for this game and I happen to like bakugo a lot( I like broken characters leave me alone) and he clapped me back up saying "bro he's getting his ass NERFED" to which I replied if it was confirmed and he just went "sorta?" I wouldn't be surprised but knowing how bad bandai is at balancing....
any character that has an instant revive is automatically broken and needs to be nerfed. the fact that you can be so reckless only to be revived instantly is not something that is skill based. maybe a faster revive but definitely not instant
Lol this is not as frequent as tsuyu and tsu literally can pull her teammates to her out of danger. While the heal is smaller getting your teammates closer to you in critical moments is more essential. Ibara is not a threat in anyway. Even when she revives her teammate if you wait like a second after the revive and her vines go down you can just shoot them back down very quickly. She needs a team to function otherwise if she is singled out she has no way to get away or fight back, and you might as well not use her grab in anything but a 1v1 because if you use it when they have a team they are going to single you out and kill you instantly. It ain't like shigarakis grab which is much shorter and more op.

Yup! (Also by the way, it's Alpha, not Alfa. It's Alpha because these are the Greek letters Alpha, Beta, and Gamma, that are used for the skills)

I’ve basically been maining her since I got her villain costume she is so fun if you can get good positioning

She was the first character I pulled, and right after I got Kirishima. Fair to say I've never used Ibara. 😅
