Change was needed. For better or for worse it needed to be done. I for see Univision becoming equal to CNN, MSNBC or any other similar to these stations, if not bigger than. The Hispanic population is growing bigger and bigger in the USA. Soon enough we, Hispanics, will be the majority in the states. Univision will be a key factor. Univision has always been bigger than ABC,CBS,FOX,NBC,CNN all those stations. All of them only concentrated in the states. Univision didn't only concentrate in the states it also ran in North America, South America, Europe and Spain. Univision has always been....at least to me...#1!!
The old logo was a classic, they should have kept it. It was designed by the same company responsible of the NBC peacock logo, can you imagine NBC defiling their logo this way?
I like the new logo, it modernizes Univision. It gives the look of a space channel that you would see in a futuristic movie or video game. To mention also that Telemundo has also updated there logo. There logo is also nice and there's gives off a blockbuster look.
I don't think it was necessary for the news to use the new logo. They could have used the old logo to give it that serious edge. But then again I wouldn't know the first thing about marketing.
