There is a graduate diploma, it’s valid. But you can do it if you already have a degree. It’s a bridging course. You can’t register as a teacher without a 3 year ECE degree or a graduate diploma.
I have national diploma in primary education certificate .. and currently I'm working as a primary teacher in a government school .. (1+ experience ) can I apply these ece or primary teacher vacancies ?
First, get the qualification assessed by the NZQA. If they say it’s compatible you can apply for an ECE position. Ideally, if you choose to study a graduate diploma in primary or ECE teaching, you can get a job really easily. At the same time try applying for ECE jobs to see if they give you a job offer. There are so many relief and permanent positions available at the moment. Also you need IELTS 7 for each category to be registered as a teacher.
