Favorite for inside painting is Daniel Smith! I also have the set of 24 and I am doing an online course by Jane Blundell. She picked the colors of the box (except raw sienna light). The course is about her 15 colors mixing set. I can really recommend this course! I started painting with Van Gogh.

What a great collection - I feel a lot less bad for what I spent last year 😭.
Sennelier I heard are formulated to be applied in multiple layers to build up shading and thus are preferred by folks specializing in botanicals. They don’t granulate too much. W&N Cotman earth and neutrals are excellent value. Buy one of their field boxes, substitute any brand artist grades for the primaries and it’s perfect.
Thanks for these videos. Pretty funny to see you how you try to rewet the metallic ones 😂 almost getting fire! My favs are Schmincke, Rosa Gallery, Sennelier and QoR.

Hi, with your metallic set you should use an eyedropper to put water on and leave for a minute before using, it really helps with the activation.

I have those Faber Castell ones. A full set of if 18 tubes. :') Quality isn't that great but have been using this after camel original ones. Now have Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor one. Would like you to review kuretake one. They come in 12 colours pan too.
I use Camel, too, for abstracts and general things. They are pigment packed, and a really low price. From my research, they have decent permanence, which some have said is an issue because they haven't done the research. They also supposedly smell, but I've not noticed much. I prefer M Graham for finer work like portraits, but Camel is a real workhorse, otherwise, as 1/5 the price of M Graham.

I felt it. The moment I started painting with those cheap Chinese pigments I understood the difference it’s pretty evident
Bought the first Cotman and then Vangogh. Tried Mission (funky bright colours) then fell in love with M.Graham's. Can't wait to see you review QoR, thinking of getting it.

Do the mungyo watercolors blend well?
And how many colors, you need to work with only one, you need to experiment but only choose one, what would be best with the Royal Talens Rembrandt menu, but as far as the professional price-quality ratio is concerned, Koh I Noor pros are top colors and RT van gogh, watercolor is perhaps the most difficult technique, especially when creating an atmosphere, is strategy and listening to water and making the most of chance, currently in my opinion the 3 best watercolorists: Alvaro, Djukaric, Zbukvich (Branko Žbukvić).

Am glad you are here! Original watercolor will be way more pigmented than the fake

I can also recommend Schmincke for landscape painting. Love it. I also bought the whiskey mini box. Schmincke pans don’t fit in the middle. Did you put other pans in it? Or do you have a trick?
Half pans from Cotman Sketchers box fits Schmincke Horadam Whiskey box..try it

I've been thinking about the little Schminke for so long-- but wondering how practical the attachable water cup is. Do you find it's enough for plein air, or do you need to bring a separate water cup as well? Thank you so much for these videos. Enjoying them tremendously!

I use it every day without an extra cup. I make a small painting in a tiny sketchbook on my walk with my dog. I have a little pouch with sketchbook and kitchen towel and a small travel dagger brush and keep it in my handbag all the time

Professional Sennelier is better but when you compare mungyo to sennelier aquamini mungyo is way ahead

Professional grade is mentioned on the box...but we should never care for whats written in the description. Buy it use it and you know what to expect.

I was wondering what's the difference between the two Winsor and Newton palettes? 0: They're same brand, but is the small box student grade or something? I always thought they were same haha

We have 2 different grades one is WN professional and another one WN cotman (students grade). The white one is cotman and the blue is artists grade

It appears to be a “right of passage” for watercolour artists to have a filthy mixing area on their palette.
True..all my palettes are dirty
