The man! Watched alot of you're videos and I'm just transitioning from gib fixing to building. Straight to the point and informative, definetly going to help me when I start next week
This is great info, knock out a couple more of these during lockdown plz! And so good to hear you guys only use double glazing. NZ is so stupidly behind on this aspect 😅
Great video, really helping out with my work at Council. I would be keen for more detail on the slab, especially on how services are put in place before pouring and how this is done before the superstructure follows - ka pai
Thanks josh love your videos. İ would love to work in building admin. I'm in Auckland. İ was building contractor on my friends 5 bed double story with 11x5 m swimming pool in Sydney 25 years ago and i got the bug lol
Hi Josh. I am a freelance draftsman drawing NZ Residential houses and I have a council RFI asking how to do a kitchen island sink access for repair/maintenance. How to solve this query?
Hey Mark, I'm not a Desinger but in general my approach to RFI's is to work with the council and find a solution that works. They are just doing their job, ring top the council officer who has processed it and ask what they would accept as a solution, cheers
Super informative, can't stress enough how valuable these videos are!
Glad you think so!
Thank you so much for introducing NZ houses.

Excellent explanation and highly professional. Great videos.
Cheers
Great vid! Keep 'em coming. Information dense vids like this are preferable to those slick edited vids that impart little useful info.
Cheers Pete, there will be a few more like this but we're are going to keep doing the "slick edits with no impact" :) :) :)
@@nzbuilder That's fine. I skip the gimmicky vids anyway and thumbs up the ones I like.

How can someone become a building contractor in NZ? Do you have to be a builder or tradie first?
You could do it at any point in time if you don't intend on being licensed to do restricted work.
I would strongly suggest you get some experience in the trades first
hello sir
