This is just normal for travel destinations like this. £100 for a private speed boat transfer to the island is not expensive, that is normal and quite affordable. If you want cheaper you hirer a long-tail boat. The additional cost of paying to get onto the island is because the island needs an economy to survive. You pay national park fees to enter places like Phi Phi and Maya Bay as well, that is normal as well. Too many people view Thailand as a dirt-cheap tourist country and that just isn’t true, living costs of locals here is not cheap.
