They make money when the app is open so it makes sense that bandai wants to increase the grind. Now you’re going to ask why don’t they do this with like say for example dokkan? Cause they know that dbz fans have the attention span of a 4 year old

I have a theory that Bandai secretly wants this game to die since they don’t know what to do with it anymore and is making the game suck on purpose
I don’t even farm this event a lot bc making teams can be so annoying
Anime Series is soon over and Bandai dont know, if without the series this game will have enough "support/ drag" to maintain. So they try to squeze max money out of the players before its over

Another very good reason to quit the game. And to honest the game should have died a long time ago. The only reason people still play it are because, all other live service one piece games are dogshit.
People play it cause of the reason you mentioned. Also because of all the money and time they spent on it. Yes I do agree that this game shouldn’t have lasted as long as it going right now
