I have said it before that the problem with the Mariners is not the players, doing a trade or whatever, it’s the manager, Scott Servais and his buddy Dipoto, who has fired everyone except the obvious person that needs to be fired. This is a pretty good baseball team, but it is poorly managed by Servais. Their approach to hitting in-game and the inability to fix the little things in some of their pitchers, is quite telling on Servais, for a guy who used to be a catcher. If this team does not make it to the WS this year, both Dipoto and Servais need to go. One playoff birth in over a decade in charge is just not good enough. Again, this is a pretty good team. Just needs a real manager!
