Hello Justin, I never really comment on videos but this time i just had to say that you do great, great work. I hope you will gain lots of subcribers soon to reflect what you deserve in my opinion.
I appreciate that! I'm going to do my best to keep up the consistency and share quality content, and if there are people out there interested (and with a little algorithm help), I'll surely but slowly grow the channel. Thanks again for subscribing.
Keep going my man. You’ll become a national treasure soon. Don’t get tired because of the views. Trust me soon, you’ll have a compilation of video library that will help the next generation
Thanks for another great video. Will you please provide more information on the black oxford from Carmina? Specifically, which last is shoe number two built on? Thanks.
Just fount the channel. Great video!!! I will watch the rest of them too. Hopefully you can make one about leather penny loafers and how to wear them with shorts
Hi Justin, I like to dress up for university. Currently I'm wearing loafers / white sneakers / boots, with jeans / chinos and with a polo / oxford shirt / Sweaters paired with the previous mentioned shirts. But I want to take it to the next level and wear an odd jacket / sport coat / Blazer. The problem is that I have to wear backpack to carry my laptop, books, food and sometimes a lab coat and sports shoes to campus. A messenger bag is largely unpractical option for me in this case. I'm afraid to ruin my jacket this way, by wearing a backpack. Do you have any suggestions to deal with this situation?
There are brands who sell shoes that look elegant as dress shoes but feels comfortable like modern sneakers. Cole Haan for example makes super comfy Oxford hybrid shoes. With 1.85m and 112kg (bodybuilding) i'm a little bit larger. At my job i have to run the whole day in a suit and dress shoes. 16.000 - 20.000 steps per day. I switched the hard dress shoes for more comfortable alternatives because the health of my feet and knees are more important than looking good just for the eyes of others... Not a personal attack, just my opinion 🤗
Thanks for sharing. I think I know what style Cole Haan shoes you are talking about. I'm also not trying to attack these style shoes, and I'm glad you found something that works for you.
That's a good question, I have a wider toe box and a few shoes and lasts that have worked for me without getting a 'wide' shoe fit (because I don't want my feet and shoes looking like clodhoppers) are: Crocket & Jones Harvard last, Carmina Rain last, Edward Green 202 last. Look for a rounder toe box instead of an almond shape, definitely nothing pointy. Also, oxfords or lace-ups might also accommodate a wider foot a bit better than a loafer.
I feel you. I have some cotton jeans and chinos that are shorter only because they have shrunk slightly over the years, which I tend to wear with my derbies.
I wouldn't say that. I think they are equally important. In my career I've also come to find there are 'suit guys' and 'shoe guys' meaning we will normally lean towards favoring one or the other.
It might just be me, but I tend to notice peoples clothing first. I also know some people who will notice footwear first. Might be a personality/personal interest thing and reminds me of a joke my accounting professor told the class: "what's the difference between an introverted and extroverted accountant? The introvert stares at his own shoes, the extrovert stares at yours."
Understand where you're headed here but seems like you're only thinking in a traditional lane. I think your sneakers outfit would work if you dropped the tie and added a ballcap. For sure it needs to be dressed up or down a notch, but it doesn't mean sneakers are always the wrong move!
I kinda disagree on the whole sneakers with tailoring question ✌️personally think that the example was a poorly executed example and that you can find many very elegantly dressed menswear dudes wearing this combination. I’ll agree that a nice suede loafers definitely is a more elegant choice for casual outfits but with a casual suit or trousers/jacket combo sneakers can work just fine 🙂
Barron Trump very effectively pulls off wearing sneakers with anything. Your video is complete nonsense to try to make a point when wearing the wrong color sneakers.
Dressy leather shoes are the way to go. Derby shoes seem to go with everything from jeans, chinos to even suits.
Derby shoes will definitely go with more casual wear and suits, same with loafers.
You're doing a truly important work Justin! Thank you so much.
Thank you for recognizing and appreciating my work.

I appreciate that! That's the plan.
oxford boots are extra comfortable for me, because its like 3 layers of leather guarding me from the laces, i was surprised

The most important thing overall regardless of what shoe you're wearing, is to get the size right.
That's true. Thanks for adding that.
1:04 those loafers are 8 years old?! Dang! Just goes to show that quality footwear will last 👌🏻🔥

Any suggestions on wider toe box shoes?

Will do, thanks for watching.
I can't imagine having different lengths of trousers for different shoes
I feel you. I have some cotton jeans and chinos that are shorter only because they have shrunk slightly over the years, which I tend to wear with my derbies.
Do you this it’s safe to say that shoes are more important than the suit?
Yes. Expensive shoes can elevate an okay suit but cheap shoes are a sure way to ruin an expensive suit.
I wouldn't say that. I think they are equally important. In my career I've also come to find there are 'suit guys' and 'shoe guys' meaning we will normally lean towards favoring one or the other.

sneakers never look good with the tailoring.
Sneakers and Suits seems very American . In Europe we just have a great laugh the only thing you some times forget is your gallon hat 🤣😂🤣😂
@@darenius3105 😂 kamoshita, Mark Cho and many other highly respected giants in classic menswear would disagree with you 😂✌️
@@Eurovision324 😂 very strange as I would consider it more widely accepted in Europe as I myself am a European 😂✌️
very handsome speaking voice and dapper guy

First
leather shoes is real shoes .
Absolutely. I didn't even get into how leather shoes age beautifully over time.

Sneakers with suits look silly
@@Dominicreviews depends on the suit, depends on the sneakers, depends on the occasion, depends on the person
what's wrong with your left shoulder stitching of the suit?
That's a result of super soft tailoring and a whole lot of spalla camicia and I'll write it off as sprezzatura
