Love the old Placebo albums, great stuff!
They played this song in an italian show for old people (festival of sanremo) and at the end brian broke the guitar, everyone of this old people was shocked! ^_^ Great band, great energy!

I used my fleabass punk with emg active pick up dc35 and connect my ampeg micro vr in the pc, and i put an effect with amplitube.

Yeah i noticed.You can hear the G string but not as loud as the other strings (esp. the E). You have to find a way to 'open' up the sound a bit. Maybe use the tone control knob on the bass? Or reduce the lower frequencies on your amplifier? You ll find it eventually. I am no good as well, I usually try for 2-3 days to find the tone.Still, the playing was excellent. When I try to switch strings like that I usually skip one or two hehe. Except when I'm high. Then I play like robot.

Here there is another example of poroblem with soundcard that i told you about; at the end when i play on the g string the sound lost volume! I have to try to put up the pick up!

The bass is very cheap, i payed 299 euro and i've change the stock pick up with an EMG 35 DC (130 euro); but you have to remember that it's a 299 euro bass, no way he can be good as a music man or an american P or J.
