Surefire price for extra battery 299.99. Wow I'll take 3extras ....NOT. They are certainly for the rich and not your average guy. I have three but they aren't even the best nor brightest ones I have. More reasonable ones work just as well or better nowadays.
@@dgibraltar and surefire isn't expensive??? Surefire will sell you a 200 lumen light for 200 bucks the price vs performance is trash and I have to rma a light for them
SureFire has gotten too pricey over the years. They could justify it with their build quality in the past. But now there are a lot of companies that have caught up. The prices SureFire is putting out there is creating space for other weapon lamination companies to gain business...+$300 to $450 for that type of weapon light is ridiculous.
Did they mention candela? Seems like they're behind the times by only talking about lumens. The Modlite OKW crushes every other light out there at less than 700 lumens.
Sturmgewehr556 lumen is the buzz word nowadays. Gotta have 1000 lumens! Good grief, I ran a 80 lumen surefire G2 on a scope ring mount back in Iraq on my first deployment in 2003. Worked great. People forget that the other end of light is measured in candela also.
I just want Surefire to bring back the aluminum shotgun fore end. The model 69 is for the Remington 870, the model 70 is for the Mossberg 590 & 500. You need to have the 7¼" slide core on a Mossberg, the 6¼" core is not long enough. They may still have the fore end for the Benelli M-4 still in production. Wish a fore end for an Ithaca shotguns was available. That integrated light fore end is more plastic than I could ever desire, is not for me. Besides I don't need a weapons light all the time. The Surefire aluminum fore end has 3 piccatinny rails, at 3, 6 & 9 o'clock positions, that gives a shooter lots of real estate to add accessories as desired. Clamp on a weapons light only when you need it. Surefire products are expensive. But, are guaranteed "to hell in back" reliability.
Had the xr1 and it completely shit the bed on me and died. I contacted surefire and didn’t hear anything back from them except for a survey asking how their customer service was. Completely unacceptable customer service for any company let alone one that charges premium prices.
@@christiandinero8083 Hopefully I'm wrong, but if it was able to compete with Modlite or even Arisaka, you'd figure they'd be shouting it from the rooftops. That's SF for you, though. Killing it in the pistol light game but refusing to innovate with rifle lights.
It doesn’t cost shit In r and d to mount a P rail arm on a flashlight or remove 60% of the material and battery life but triple the cost. When you can go buy a new gun for the price.
Conor Foster cloud defensive is a fucking meme, its massive and heavy and takes up rail space that would have been used for an IR laser. Nothing except the OKW “shits” on surefire.
@@samhyde843 The output of the Cloud is still far better, and now they have a traditional Scout-style light that they just released. Arisaka's lights are proven and have better output than SF as well. So yeah, all three companies shit on Surefire. Great video. The Surefire guys are some of the best at explaining what they have.

I picked up the duel fuel scout light. It is awesome. The new mounting system is really nice put it on my bcm mlok rail and fits like a glove.

well they have to charge that much so they can give money to anti-2A politicians.
L. Townsend...you mean LIKE Aimpoint.
And so many others these days.
L. Townsend, have gotten pricey over the years? They have alway been "pricey", but very good product.
They were not always pricey. Now it is more evident because there are a lot of competition out there that is just as good and much cheaper.
Surefire is the best....I have a scout it is the sun in you pocket!
love the new mounts for the lights. dont need to find the perfect mount anymore with that system.

Exactly, I have both the 600DF and Modlite OKW, and the OKW by far blows the DF out of the water it's not even a fair comparison.
Check out the cloud defensive OWL if you want a tank with max candela.
Kyle G The OKW beats the OWL in candela however the owl is much more of a tank but at the added cost of weight
Remington nice, good to know.
Love to see a review of the 50 suppressor
I guess this has certainly turned into a rich mans game. Wow

Love the Scout Light!!
I just bought a dual fuel did they say they have a vampire head for it too? I’ve got one for my scout light
