Is he sick? His temperature was fine. After months in quarantine isolation, and the trauma of losing his mother, he more likely needed affection and physical playful contact. Which is not the scientist's program, so a later cold got used for the excuse for the documentary.
It’s odd that he’s squeaking, but we understand it as crying and therefore, because of maternal instincts we have this need to soothe him. He’s also pretty cute I won’t lie😊
Cows and deer have big eyes too. Most likely Humans and apes have evolved from same ancestor. But there is still lack of evidence of missing links. All apes and monkeys have 24 pairs of chromosome and humans have 23 pairs of chromosome. Why? Why Humans and all other apes and monkeys have so much anatomical difference?
"Harris, and J. Young.] Humans have 46 chromosomes, whereas chimpanzee, gorilla, and orangutan have 48. This major karyotypic difference was caused by the fusion of two ancestral chromosomes to form human chromosome 2 and subsequent inactivation of one of the two original centromeres (Yunis and Prakash 1982)."

@ 0:55 when he's laying there looking at the camera, the vet working away. It astounds me how trusting they are. I remember a show called Orangutan Island where one of the Orangutans was bitten by a venomous snake. Her leg had swelled up, loaded with pus. The vet shaved her leg, had to make an incision to drain the venomous pus, and NOT ONCE did she flinch, bite, or be aggressive. It was amazing how you literally could see the trust. The lady who runs the facility was there as well holding her hand, and again she'd look up at her human being friend and you saw the trust and love? It was really amazing. My dog needed 4 people and restraints for his vaccines, while this Orangutan had major problems handled and she never once flinched.

Lol, Peanut is that one kid that gets dropped off at Kindergarten and cries endlessly clutching mom's leg. Monkeys are so amazing to watch, they are so much like us and the babies look and behave so much as our own.

He’s like a little human baby he’s adorable ☺️
Thats why i love monkes
more adorable than a human baby. Humans emit about 2 tons of CO2 on average per year. If every human = 2 yrs, added up, we would = the age of the universe.
Correct, & he needs just as much hugs& cuddles& love! Yes, i WOULD have totally cuddled him! He is a traumatized baby!
Yes, keeping your distance would be him learning through tough love & faster BUT it can be done with more emotional healing for that baby by giving him all the love he needs to thrive in LIFE (like all the other baby animals there, got!)

It's tempting yes but the problem is that humans can get them sick too that's why the caretakers wear masks and gloves.
@Dave Micolichek I don't think she said that lol, she just said she wanted to hug it. You are right though, albeit a bit hyperbolic.

I would challenge any human to live in the canopy the way they do. That would be our extinction at present. Most of us would fall from the canopy and crash our skulls ...

He's so cute. His eyes are so big . I know people have a hard time believing we come from the same lineage. I don't see how they can think we don't.

Breaks my heart knowing the damage man does to the animal world and their environment you could see and feel the sadness in peanut through his eyes, thank goodness for these places and the work they do in helping them back to some kind of normality!
As I watched Peanut struggling, I could see, when he was crying, that everything in his female caregiver's body language was telling her to go comfort him and hold him. But she knew she had to let Peanut figure this out on his own....no matter how scary it felt. If he wants to succeed in Jungle School, he's going to have to learn to master climbing on his own.
