- World Fish Migration Day has been postponed to October but our fish are here now! Let's celebrate their return. Join CRC River Steward, Kelsey Wentling, and CT Dept. of Energy & Environmental Protection Fisheries Biologist, Steve Gephard, for a virtual tour of two new fish ladders. You'll visit Dolan Pond fishway in Essex, CT and the John T. and Jane A. Wiederhold fishway at Mill Pond in Centerbrook, CT. This looks very good. Not being a fish person I would imagine it would take a lot of energy to swim up the longest chute. Thanks for sharing this video.

How has the fish numbers been for you this year?
We have had 14,000 alewife come through the ladders here in the past 3 days in mid coast maine!

Its for the "rainbow trout" out there. The historically oppressed non binary, non gendered and intersectional fish seeking affirmational surgery. Dams have always been a social construct of oppression and discrimination through out history.
