Everything breaks this time of year. Machines don't like the cold and wet either! Good job you've found someone like Adam who can quickly get you back up and running. At least John must be warm from all the sweating he does when things go wrong! 😅
This is worth its own comment… watching James operate that machine is amazing! The way he just picks pieces off so precisely is incredible! Got the dream team in that yard!
Adam is old school and a bloody good welder , no a great welder. Cleanliness is the key to a good job. Great videos mate. If I am down that way I will drop in and see you guys👍👍👍🏴
Little tip for you when opening boxes with straps on go to strap where they joined, turn it over pull strap from other side, then just pull all strap bobs ya, uncle sorted it rips no need to stab risk hurting your self.
Should of called the 5th emergency service out, The Struggler! He would of put some pigeon on that and got it going in 10 mins haha! Keep going boys you are smashing it 💪🏼 👊
Great vid lads, Adam is your Knight In Shining Armour……. knight in a boiler suit top fella. Well done Chris on your class 2 test. Hope you have a yorkie bar in your piece box now 😂👍
Wow what a great video Chris had me and the missus in stitches in that Bailer deffo In my top 5 videos and Adam is one very skilled man ps well done on the pass Chris
James that ram push block has possibly snapped the weld on ram with catching that tear hole on the lid you see in the video if the block is digging into it plus your bailer buddy is rite aswell you need to grind up that edges on the block and it’s parking hole 🕳️
well adam is like a super sub when your losing you bring him too score a goal well done that man good welder too good content again and in chitty weather shows what a good crew you got too work in conditions you must of missed the snow up in the north was bad lol keep up good work guys and gals heeeeee
It's not a new idea, think about a fuse in a plug, a mains box or even in your car; all designed to fail before the main component is damaged. On machines, built in failure saves money, I imagine the ram stem on the baler would see you without much change from £5,000.
@@Tuberesu Yeah I know mate, just impressed as a skilled welder that he will still let his repair fail before the machine to save the customer money. Instead of doing a repair he knows wont, he knows his welds are stronger than the ram and is still willing to do less instead of sticking with his strength work and reputation as a welder he’s still willing to let his work fail…..impressive !
@@jamesstrand7559 I agree, it's a fine line, I am not a welder, of course. However, Adam has lots of years behind him and the professional way his mobile workshop is set out, I am pretty sure he sets out to do the best he can with an experienced eye wide open on his customers' behalf. You do make a valid point.
Alright everyone. Your baler needs some pressure relief valves fitting,so when it reaches the correct pressure it stops pumping/ breaking bits. Find a good hydraulic guy and get him to have a look. It will be cheaper than fixing it / down time in the long run. Good luck.
I am smiling in a smug sort of way! Having looked at the frost all over BCB's stock my smugness is based on the fact that here, in Dorset, the temperature is nearly always six degrees C warmer than the 'frozen' North. Mind You, there is sympathy for the guys who have to handle all that frozen metal, frost is not fun at all! I watched the prep and repair of the ram shaft, with trepidation; heavy metal parts are not easy to work with under those conditions! Probably the time I was most concerned was when I watched James standing on that block of concrete with that huge hunk of metal the end bearing, in his hands -- that looked really dangerous. James, you may be repairable but you are not invulnerable! I trust the works "DO" was as good as it looked and you receive many more gifts and tokens in aid of the Festive Season. As a serious note, James is right about the machinery, especially where the baler is concerned, things are asked to do work at an increasing pace when their age is increasing pro rata. Basically, if the baler has paid for itself, consider how much a day that baler is making for you ! I think Adam was right, do a "temporary" repair to allow you to schedule two days when Adam can do a more permanent job when the time allocated is PLANNED. That would apply to most of the equipment, not just the baler. Because untimed down time is the most expensive, it makes sense to allocate maintenance into the normal work routine. Damaged stuff costs more because it's unplanned -- planned repairs can be worked into the budget and timetable. That's why the recent spate of breakdowns have caused so much of a headache! Anyway, I'm not as expert as you so forgive me waffling on!! How did you go on with the repairs on the DAF? Thanks for a great video (again) and all the best.
Wats with the Sierra on the ramp looks like a good shell hope it ent getting scrapped i glad i don't go for a piss up with nutters 😂🤣 that old bailer has had a hard life before you got it as that video of it being repaired the welding looked shocking before adam sorted out good job he can come back getting u out the crap yet again its going to keep breaking down on you as it was cheap fair play for chris for passing hes test nice to see zoe smileing face 😘 hope u lot have a good chrismas and new year and enjoy the break all of you lot ☃️🍻🍺🥳
Nice job, Adam on the bailer, the bailer buddies are back in action,I like how john showed up in adams van must of been warm in there 😅have a great week boys 👍
Hi John, James , looks like Adam, done another brilliant repair job on the baler, it will be up and running in no time. As always a great video ,catch you all on Wednesday take care
Edited. Good to see John and Zoe on camera. John did great on the camera, seems to be getting more comfortable. Seems like that bailer is starting to cause a right nuisance, personally, I’d run it into the ground then get something a bit newer, the bails could be much tighter with a newer machine.
@@BCB yeah, it’s done you good, the weld Adam did was fantastic, should last a bit that. Glad you got it fixed. The bailer buddies can resume normal service 😂

Great video to John James and yes Zoe too nobody ever writes the other names tight gits lol 😂. Nah good seeing others John I’ve watched from the start and it’s good to see you more on don’t be a shy messer lol 😂. oi oi northernnnnnnnnnn boyzzzzzzzzzz another great video and you are so unlucky with equipment at mo!!! ...adam is def a awesome welder and saves the day !!!!
Great extra long video guys Bloody good man Adam is coming in so quick to sort out the baler I swear that baler is cursed boys even well your fixing one thing the next break happens with the door lock if you guys didn't have bad luck you wouldn't have any luck James have you or Chris run over a black cat on the way to work. Great content guys. Keep up the good work See you on the next one.
For it to crack it must be under tension ,so there will be catching on something , but I'm surprised there isn't a box behind the block to keep it square and stop stuff falling behind , as the ram pushes out it will twist depends on what it's pushing ,and when it retracts although it's got the corners cut off the block it will be not square until it's pushed square by the end of the baler
Ideally at full extent it should still be inside the guide ,the ram is designed for a straight push or pull but it's not doing that , maybe the slop in the crush space from the earlier crack is actually causing this issue and is now fixed
only ever seen them at shows , and always thought thats an odd looking fulvia lol, i will stick with my rovers i dont get confused with them lol , great video, love the long ones @@BCB

I don't think that ram will ever bend unless it be proper abused, i would have repaired it differently i'd have taken the broken piece out of the eye attachment and refitted the ram back in and welded it in, but one thing is for sure if it brand new or old all machinery breaks
Adam is old school and more than likely forgot more than most people know today and the baler well its old done maybe millions of vehicles along with being made do fix just to keep it ploding but by the time you up for a new machine you'll have made it 100% right 😁.
If you close the wings completely before you start to compress that will hold the ram where it should be you are welcome a cup would be nice payment thanks Mike Cortland ohio
