Just quit a week ago, not the first time i’ve try.. But this time im not trying im doing it. Im over this stuff, was drinking 12 beers a day and week end was probably a 24 a day. Time to move on, im sick of wondering if i still have enough at home or do i need to go get more ect ect. 5 years ago i’ve quit for a year and a half, and got depressed “dry drunk”.. this time, i will go to the gym and keep myself busy and hopefully, i get through this. Im going to watch a lot of your video Kevin, they really help. thank you
14 months now without a drink, and for some reason it's been incredibly easy. I think it's because I never announced to myself that I was going to stop, thereby making it an event, another attempt. I just stopped, and stopping has become as habitual as the act of drinking, or binge drinking, used to be. I simply have no desire to drink, I think I just drank myself out.
After 41 days I’m finally starting to feel ok. I took a heap of nutrition assistance, the best help was kefir live yogurt. I do believe there is a big connection between the gut and the mind.
Great Info! This has been a hard thing for me to stop! But every time I fall down! I get back up!! I’m DETERMINED TO SUCCEED THIS TIME! For I know, LIFE is truly better without ALCOHOL
I watch and enjoy all your motivational messages Kevin. I also enjoy reading all the comments from the wonderful people that share this journey together
I finally got booze out of my life. From the time I get up till I fall asleep at night, not one thought of drinking. I filled my life with all the things I’ve always wanted to do. Alcohol never enters the picture anymore. l’m in control of my thoughts now. If you do it long enough alcohol won’t be in your mind anymore. I’m not a person to let anyone, anybody, or anything control me. You can do it also. Set yourself free for the rest of your life.
Yes well what kept me from relapsing was the thought of how much time I would have wasted if I did and that, of course, that involves a fair bit of willpower. My ongoing (14 years free) is to as I said in another comment is to eat healthily, exercise find an outlet for your mind (mine is computers as I cannot do woodworking anymore because of my age) and make sure I maintain a good gut health because there is a lot of scientific proof that good gut health equals a health mind plus other benefits such as the immune response. I take a probiotic drink - Kefir - every day and I find it is what is keeping me on track. I tried just about every antidepressant there is but none helped. I think the authour (sorry don't know your name) of this video has some very good advice on how to keep control of what you do to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
I have no children. I am in my mid 40s. I have principles and values. My parents are getting old. I take care of my dad. He was a pastor for 25 years. I worry. I have a rule of thumb not to have a relationship with a gal two younger than me. A woman can have complications having children when she is past 40. You see; I feel sad. I am a graduate in psychology but I still have not found anything. I will keep on going. I am a man who is sad but with wisdom. But age and maturity comes with a price. I feel sad. Apostle Paul felt sad and he lost his life

You sound like my twin. I'm always on a roller coaster ride with alcohol. What a nightmare we didn't sign up for! The best to you. We can do this!
