The Recital Hall of the Elbphilharmonie

In the Recital Hall not only the stage platforms can be moved into a variety of different constellations, but also the the audience stands, which seat up to 550 people, can be fully retracted into the back wall of the rectangular space. The special wood panelling (of 40,000 oak panels) is visually striking and provides uniquely warm and clear acoustics ideal for song recitals and chamber music projects alike. At the same time, a state-of-the-art sound system and a wide range of lighting technology also make the hall the perfect venue for spectacular acts and scene-based productions.
