Yeah I can understand that. I feel like if I have a card on file I won’t keep track of my spending vs a cash account gives you an alert if there isn’t any left.

I don’t like hold’s either but in my debt card I don’t care about my credit card and with a credit card the hold is less and it falls off faster I am with V I like that I don’t have to stop at guest service at all

There’s no fees unless you’re overdrawn on your account but yeah those holds are really annoying

I saw the kiosk take $200 from a girl on the sunrise and it didn’t give her credit for it. I was sitting downstairs drinking and it took her hours to get it straight. They treated her like she was lying. That got it for me. Will NEVER put money in kiosk yikes.

Team card...Veronica was on point, I have 2 cards, one I put my traveling & whatsoever funds on it and I have a budget (I don't drink or gamble or a lot of shopping) just Enjoy my Getaway! Team cash here because I feel like I have more control over it. I don’t like storing my credit card information like that. I understand there is a difference between a credit and a debit card. Do you have to go to guest services now to put cash on your account? I usually just hand the clerk cash when I check in. I haven’t cruised since the shutdown so the process may be different.
You can give the clerk cash while checking in, go to guest services or use a kiosk
I’ve used both. On my last cruise I went Solo and cash worked out perfectly
Hey Sis J and V. I am enjoying you both with these collabs. V just waving her Platinum flag. Ok Sis I see you. I am on Gold level with Carnival. I have sailed 11 times. But I am "Team Card". It's the No worries for Me. I know they are going to do a hold. So I just set aside a spending amount. I separate that amount from my bills in my account. I don't like the hold either. But I have never had a issue with using the card. This was fun Ladies. Do more of Them. ❤️

I used to do credit card until they added a bogus charge after I disembarked. It was hell trying to get cleared. Now I put cash mostly.

The regular people😂I agree with you both but I lean towards the credit card if possible to avoid the endless line at guest services. The kiosks are great too and I do check my account there occasionally.
Great subject for the vlog, I prefer credit cards, but I always take cash for the extra tips and souvenirs, I haven't gone on Carnival yet but hope to this year or next year, good to know how Carnival system work. 😊

Hello ladies, I am definitely a debit card person. I don't use credit cards at all. I just want to know what I buy is taken care of. I am not standing in no lines🤣🤣 I haven't ever used cash before. So, I can't speak on it. I just use cash when I am the ports shopping. I usually use my debit card at ports also. Oh, Team Platinum checking in.

Team Cash because I’m from The Bahamas 🇧🇸 and my bank will put a hold on my card for anything! I don’t need that headache. It keeps me honest and then international fees can apply for credit card. Plan, Plan, Plan is the key. Top up enough Funds on your stateroom card

Set a budget and load it up. I'm team cash 😊 but I also don't like using credit cards at all. I didn't even have a credit card just a debit card and she's right that it sucked using a debit card.

I don’t like how credit card companies,put holds of $200,sometimes even $300,then an additional charge for each individual purchase. It’s too much and takes too long to me for charge to fall off.
I can keep up better with minimum deposit on sail card.
Budget for exact amount I want to spend.
Other cash I’m keeping to spend at the casino.

Hello! Thanks so much for watching! It honestly depends on what you are interested in doing. If you are going to be purchasing drinks a la carte, souvenir shopping, bingo, casino…etc then I would say about $100 per day

Guess I would have been platinum with Carnival (6 cruises); RC (3) and (3) NCL... cheated on Carnival.

I have an account with a debit card that is used for that purpose only. Its for travel. and I'm not bothering it until it's time for travel. I also get out some cash to have for travel for the gratuities off the ship, playing in the casino and any other necessary items. Awesome video ladies. I prefer credit card. But I have been getting those carnival gift cards and loading them when I get on board. I budget lol for my spending money then go get the cards before I leave. Ill be short gold 🪙 status by one day in February
