It's important to emphasize just how serious the German situation is, as many of the German bishops have actually called for changing Church teaching on abortion, gay marriage, female priests, etc. This just shows how out of whack they are with Catholic beliefs and how schism there is a very real possibility. Pope Francis has already clashed with them several times on these issues and so it really seems to be a touch-and-go situation. Because the Church can't change its teachings on these issues, as then it would contradict itself and cease to be the Church that Christ established.
Some think the Holy Catholic Church in Rome is too conservative; some think it’s too radical. Just goes to show that you can’t please everybody.

This SSPX claim in this news short is not true. If you read or listen to the Archbishop you may be surprised as to the high degree the predictions of his arguments have in light if the so called new church.

What was reported in the news clip was facts. The SSPX spreads a false narrative of propaganda which can be easily disproven by verifiable facts. You claim that it is false that the founder of the SSPX was excommunicated; yet, it is documented that he was. Anyone can look it up.

A small problem with that is that only some protestants were allowed back with their distinct traditions intact. At least two Black pentecostal churches and some former orthodox converted to Catholicism and they could not come back with any of their liturgical or prayer traditions. To say that anglicans and lutherans are closer because of form is arbitrary as all of them severed communion with the church by being protestant. I pray that our church can be enriched by all of its returning sons and daughters.
They did not comeback into communion with the Faith but rather a brood of vipers.

Apparently the rumor says Mgr. Vigano was reconsecrated into episcopacy earlier this year by the expelled SSPX Bishop. So he has no tie with SSPX indeed.

He has indirect ties with the SSPX because he has been publicly misleading the faithful by saying that they can fulfill their Sunday obligation at these schismatic masses - something that the magisterium states the opposite on. The excommunication on the SSPX bishops was lifted by Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis has given SSPX priests faculties to validly hear confessions and perform marriages.
Yes, meaning that said marriages and confessions were been invalidly done beforehand. How merciful our pope is. He of course has not given them permission to say Mass, which makes their liturgies schismatic; and schismatic liturgies are sacrilegious. The late pope Benedict removed those excommunications as a gesture for them to come back into communion. Since they rejected that gesture, they are still automatically excommunicated by their own actions. Likewise, that same pope re-excommunicated one of those bishops publicly because he found out that he was a Noootzeee sympathizer and a Sedevacantist.

I pray that he renounces his false theology, recognizes that Francis is the pope, and that he realizes that spreading the Gospels through actions is far more important than gold chalices and esoteric theology.

Vigano is a good and faithful bishop who is calling out the unholy errors of Modernism and the changes of doctrine found in some of the declarations of the "pastoral", non infallible Vatican ll. I'm sure Vigano still mentions Francis in the Mass, a sign of his fidelity to the Papacy.

CORRECTION: Archbishop Vigano does NOT have any connection to the SSPX. He is a Sedevacantist ( denies that Pope Francis is the Roman Pontiff), and denies the whole of Vatican II. While the SSPX criticizes Modernism infecting the Church, it recognizes Pope Francis as the legitimate Roman Pontiff and the Second Vatican Council as a valid council of the Church. The SSPX is NOT IN SCHISM.

Not sure that is true not saying it is not true. I think the clarification needs to be made to clearly indicate what Bishop Williamson status is within the Formal SSPX. He, along with Bishop Fellay and 2 others had their excommunications rescinded, but Williamson's was reinstated is considered outside the bounds of the Formal SSPX. It seems Vigano has a close association with Williamson. Again, it seems, but that I think may also be included in Vigano's excommunication charges along with rejecting Vatican II and Pope Francis as the Successor of St. Peter (Pope).
The SSPX recognizes the Pope but denies his authority over them. They keep erecting CHurches of their own, establishing their own ecclesistical tribunal without the consent of the local bishops. They act like a sect. Sayin they accept the second Vatican council is A BIG JOKE from you.
The SSPX is illogical in every ways. Sedevacantists are way more consistent in their way. The SSPX IS SCHISMATIC, whether you want to accept It or not. The Ecclesia Dei also fight modernism, but they are not in schism.

The SSPX is schismatic. This is a fact, despite what self-proclaimed experts on the internet will say. Read the Magisterium’s official declarations, not the quagmire of personal opinions and canonical excuses its adherents push.
How could Germany be at risk when Francis is just as liberal as its prelates ? The relationship between the two elements of India and the SSPX shows the incoherence of Francis' liturgical policy, which is what is sowing schism. In one case, a restoration of tradition is supported, while in the other it is forsaken.

This is wrong. Pope Francis preserves the Deposit of Faith and does not touch it, what he expresses more than others is the side of mercy of the sinner (not the toleration of the sin). Pope Francis has said and taught new things that are either erroneous, or savouring of heresy, or scandalous, or offensive to pious ears. I don't care if people will be accidentally scandalized by saying it. First, I think it is incorrect to say that true and fair criticism of the pope will create disharmony between faith and reason; secondly, I don't want to develop Stockholm syndrome; thirdly, we are not here on earth to take all means to make this world better or perfect, but we are here merely for our eternal salvation - this is the Gospel.
I also put all my faith in the Holy Spirit, that the Catholic priests in Germany will do the right thing and desist corrupting the Deposit of Faith. Obedience to the Pope is all the more important, if we trust in Jesus’ promise (Matthew 16:18) and trust in the Holy Spirit, we should trust our Pope.

Archbishop Lefebvre did not create a schism. Consecrating bishops without a Papal mandate is an offence that incurs latae sententiae excommunication according to the 1983 code of canon law. Nowhere does it say that it constitutes an act of schism, nor did Lefebvre and his bishops claim any ordinary jurisdiction. They recognise both the Pope and the diocesan bishops appointed by him.
They "recognize" authority yet do not submit to them. That means they de facto don't recognize them. Not submitting to the pope is what schism is. St John Paul II declared that Lefebvre was automatically excommunicated because of his schismatic act (directly going against the pope's orders which is a lack of submission); and he likewise declared that those associated with his movement (the SSPX) were likewise separating themselves from the Church. The pope has the authority and you do not.

Well, in the military, if a private calls his leader "Corporal" but decides to do what he wants, the recognition of that authority is meaningless in practice.
The pope has authority to grant faculties because he's the pope. The Orthodox Church has retained their faculties to do confessions because all the popes since the schism have allowed for it. If he can do so for the schismatic Orthodox, then he can do so for the SSPX for the benefit of those misled by it.
The pope does not lose his authority over a group because of schism. But they ignore his authority, other than when convenient.
If the SSPX did not need faculties, then why do they brag about it ever since they were given it? And why did they claim they didn't need it before being given it?

Marcel Lefebvre's excommunication was never lifted by Benedict XVI. Lefebvre died in a state of excommunication, just like Martin Luther. Benedict XVI lifted the canonical excommunications of four SSPX prelates: Fellay, Tissier de Mallerais, Williamson, and Galarreta. Furthermore, the SSPX is in schism, per Canon 751: "schism is the refusal of submission to the Supreme Pontiff or of communion with the members of the Church subject to him".

Actually it was not forced rather automatically done as per the Canon Law. Pope John Paul II at that time just confirming that an auto excommunication was indeed happened at the moment he lay his hand upon the head of the 4 consecrated Bishops. The Syro Malabar priests are a minority in the Southern end of India. They do not constitute the majority of Catholics in India. For the good of all it's better to put aside differences by giving Christ the importance and not just traditions limited to a few. Jesus asked, ' Is it lawful to heal ( help, go out of the way to help , to promote love, unity and brotherhood ) on the Sabbath? '.
Without Francis and all his “reforms” none of this would occur. Francis shouldn’t be so much bossing around and banning this and that liturgy etc.
