- In this episode of the Braxtons, Toni Braxton opens up about her battle with lupus and her vocal problems. She also reveals that she is scared to be happy. Towanda and Andre settle out their differences about the custody battle and they have an amicable divorce. The sisters sit down their mother Evelyn and suggest to her to possibly have an open discuss with their father's wife Wanda.

I love Miss E and she has done a great job raising her family. I don't think that she has to have a sit down with Miss Wanda but she does need to forgive her so she can go on with her healing. I think Miss E could have remarried a long time ago if she did not carry that burden of unforgiveness. Let it go Miss E, free yourself. Kathi Rayner I agree with you on the part that they don't need to sit down with each other. It's been to long and the kids are all grownup. However Ms. E need to allow her kids to become one with there father as far a a relationship with him and his wife family. Now if Ms. E don't want to be apart of it she don't have to. But she need to stop making them choices between the both of them. Her kids are not going to stop loving her.
Kathi Rayner I 100% Agree! Even though what Mr. Braxton and Wanda did to her was beyond horrible, she has to let it go and release that anger. I really believe that's why there's so much bickering amongst the daughters. At some point, you have to learn how to let things go. I know exactly how she feels. My marriage started the same way as Evelyn's... Exactly. He did a lot of the same hurtful things and he suffered as a result... but so did I, until I learned to forgive him. He had a horrible stroke at the age of 44 and has been disabled for 10 years. I was pregnant with our last child when it happened, so I know very well what bitterness and unforgiving a person can do to you.

I dont think toni meant she's scared to be happy in a literal sense. I think shes afraid of the vulnerability that comes with being happy because it could open another world of hurt. In my opinion she doesn't need to sit down or do anything that hatchet was buried a long time ago. She has moved on but it'll always hurt and that's normal. Mr. Braxton needs to stop trying to get the kids to accept his wife and guilt tripping them with his age and it was a long time ago and blah blah blah. The pain is still there and I think at this point the girls are to old for a blended family they all have their own unit.
