Graphics are outstanding, given the 2600's limitations and gameplay isn't bad either. It's a nailbiter to maneuver the car around the tough curves while avoiding other cars that try to slide into your lane. However, there IS one major compromise in this port of PP. You can't maneuver between 2 cars, unlike in all other ports. While that doesn't ruin the game, it's a limitation not shared by this game's most direct competition, Activision's Enduro. While the graphically simpler Enduro has a different focus, the ability to move between and around multiple cars is an added challenge I'd like to have seen in this 2600 port of Pole Position. Compromises had to be made with it but I wish they could've kept that aspect, which remains in all other ports of PP. Aside from that, it's a very good 2600 port.
