I knew he was versatile in college, playing 3 different position while at Texas, i even went as far to say that he can be a Micah parsons lite. LVE and Clark are our starters. Cox play against Jones to stop the TD was an impressive display of his speed ability to read and react quickly sideline to sideline. Overshown is a missile and just needs some coaching and we have the coaches to do that. We could be deeper and better at L.B. than we have in yrs. DQ and staff will put them into position that helps everyone the most. Overshown with a full offseason with our strength and conditioning coaches and in our scheme should be exactly what you said replacing Kearse next yr and spot plays this yr. Cox should get more reps this yr as well hopefully he is fully healthy

I like the idea of him being used like Kearse but I always thought Mukuamu should be kearse’s replacement for the future that boy be balling. Overshown would be a good hybrid LB that can blitz up the middle when parsons is on the edge. Feel like he can shoot the gap faster than LVE especially with mazi and Hankins eating up double teams now

Watched a lot of Overshown's college career as a Longhorn fan. Love the player. His tendency to over pursue and over-commit on angles are issues, but nothing that can't be addressed. Love his energy and athletic ability.
Wilson is one of the best players on this defense whether he gets the credit or not , if this kid can even come close to Wilson it was worth a 3rd round pick if he can be a Wilson the next few years. I'd put Wilson above d law

If they can clean up Trevon Diggs' tackling, I'm sure they can clean up Overshown's as well. You STILL hear people repeating the same crap about Diggs today, basically just because of 1 play last season - it was a pretty relevant play in the playoffs of course, I certainly get that, INEXCUSABLE. But, if you actually look at the dude's tape from last year("I watched the games bro", that's not film study), and you actually look at his numbers, Diggs has made a huge jump in his tackling. He even had a couple big play tackles in the regular season(but no one ever pays attention to CB tackling... unless they're missing tackles of course). His numbers from PFR... 2020 missed tackles: 5 missed tackle %: 7.9% 2021 MT: 10 MT%: 16.1% 2022 MT: 1 MT%: 1.7% ...going from having a reputation for not being the best tackler to literally 1 missed tackle in the regular season? Huge! Just gotta make that sellout decision in the post season, and Diggs will be pretty damn complete all around. If they can do it for Diggs(a former WR no less), I HAVE THE FAITH...
I'm still baffled that we didn't pick up Bobby Wagner to fill the void at LB now that Parsons is DE. That is 2 years running we have missed the Wagner train. This is going to be a top 3 defense and possibly #1 but would have better with Wagner imo. Hopefully this kid Overshown is a sleeper and turns out to be a monster. 🤞

Y’all are so quick to write off a player after ONE season. Makes no sense. Everything I have seen coming out of Dallas, is that Cox is doing well.
