      Usually like a tasteful aftermarket wheel but see your point.
      Has to be a factory-ish looking wheel maybe a touch smaller in diameter out there

    Belvederes decent straight ones are still out there guys and super reasonable if you look
    So make a fake do what you want. The #s, real stuff is crack pipe pricing most of us can never afford. Friend picked up a 2 owner super straight 318 Belv for $1300 few yrs back.
    Basic maintenance was all it needed....reliable daily driver that looked cool for cheap

      Problem was parts, no repop stuff late 80s. Saw a shifter mechanism at Pomona Swap meet...crusty beat up...$900. No mopars for me.

    If i was to buy it. Its missing the one thing. Big Block. I would do a conversion as soon as I receive it. 340 needs to be in a A-body or E-body.

    • @gordocarbo
      @gordocarbo 3 месяца назад +1

      Go straight to a 440 with decent heads. 383s can run good but the stroke is a little short. Wish Chevy had blocks like the others where a 326 looked the same as a 455.

    Had a 1966 Satellite in 1975. Same color. When it was cloudy out it looked purple. Came with a 426 hemi and a 4-speed. The hemi was long gone as this car was bought for the 1/4 mile. But it had a stout 383 magnum in it and the 4 speed. Even had a factory tach on the consule. I was 19 years old and paid $950.00 for it. Man those were the good old days.

    Anyone know who might make a 265/50/15 and 275/50/15 street tire?
    Not drag radials or track stuff have those already.
    Tire mfrs could clean up if they made G50s to L50s or N. Coming back in vogue.

    I have an ex brother in law with the exact same car, except it`s a GTX first year, their family bought it brand new, he took his drivers training course with it, he still has it, it still has the original blue laquer that is cracking pretty bad. But it`s a complete numbers matching vehicle, no rust any where, and he will not sell it, it`s a 440 console car, love the cars guys. He also has a 64 Polara rag top with a 440, he wont sell that either.

    • @gordocarbo
      @gordocarbo 3 месяца назад

      Hope he drives them. Storing them forever does more harm than good.
      Driving for 20-30 min periodically IS maintaining them.
      Vette guys are the worst about this. Strange

      If its "done", recent mechanical refresh its worth every penny
      Lots of great looking/souding cars but they have spray paint rebuilds, lotsa issues shortcuts. Looking under the dash will tell you a LOT about the car.

      Like the original trim and chrome as it came...replate, polish etc just looks proper

    • @gordocarbo
      @gordocarbo 3 месяца назад

      M/T st tires arent bad. Ok bang for the buck tires. Tread is almost identical to cooper which I like. BFG are decades old tech. Wish Goodyear and Firestone would bring back some older lines...especially in 15 inch 50 series.
      Huge demand for them, whats old is new again.

    • @gordocarbo
      @gordocarbo 3 месяца назад

      Depends...lots of high rpm free revving is no good..rod bolts try to yank themselves outta the threads
      We all knew a guy who when showing off would start his engine up stone cold and rev it to the moon floating valves. Ouch
      Can drive a car hard but not abuse it. Only revved mine high once...otherwise no sense in doing it. Same with burnouts.

      We can tell the rest. Vanguard has some awesome rides but the dude talks the entire time drives me up the wall!!
