I'm ready for a new hobby & this the perfect tutorial to help me to start painting in my spare time. I love paintings & photos of the sky, so that's where I'd like to start.
Super techniques...the Blending of cloud with the sky in the bottom is my key learning. All my cloud paintings had a flat bottom, looking like a pillow...I would try this today. Thank you for this great video.🙏🙏🙏
This is the first cloud tutorial I feel like I really got for fluffy clouds omg thank you for this it’s so real and up close so incredible thank you!!!
This is one of the easiest and best video I've come across. Your very talented and Thank You so much. I like listening to you as you explain your method.♥️
I’m so happy I came across your channel, I follow you on Instagram and love your work, your stuff is very realistic and now I can actually learn from you! Thank yooouuu!
You make it look so easy. I've got to try it like this. My sister wants me to do a large painting of a cross coming up from the clouds. I'm practicing the clouds.
That was absolutely excellent. Very well done indeed. I just took up painting this year (Watercolour only so far). I am curious about Acrylic though. Your work is excellent. Greetings from Scotland
I've watched so many cloud tuts and this is the first one that is so...level? If that's the word? Most other ones I feel like the artists don't realize how beginners sometimes know literally n o t h i n g to start so, even tho they think they are talking simple, it's not helping for me. Maybe that's just my brain tho, idk my point is you were chill and explained it as if you were talking to anybody even a non painter so I was able to keep up and understand. You kept it SHORT I'm telling you there are 40+ minute long how to paint a single cloud videos out there 😂 i don't have the attention span for them. And I absolutely adore your accent, voice, and little bit of personality that showed thru in this video. I came from instagram btw thank you for all you do and share with the world.
Well that looks like a happy little cloud to me. 👏👏👏 I prefer the same technique but am always told to do it with my fingers because it’s easier. Well, not to me, because I love those crispy top edges this technique gives and if I try to make a cloud with my fingers I just end up with cotton balls up there. I’m currently playing around with a retarder I made though so I might change it up a bit in the future. Thanks for an inspiring little video. 👌
Love your video intro! Very clever! Thanks for the cloud video... they look more simple to paint than they are, so it was much appreciated. I laugh when you say "Don't over think it!". Most of the things I paint look like nobody thought about it at all. I try to be random, I try to vary my colors, and of course I vary my shapes, but my clouds come out looking as though there's no rhyme or reason to how/where they're shadowed. I'll keep trying. I'm pretty sure that's the only way I'll learn. Oh... I also love your Southern Accent, which is very prominent when you say the word "white"! Reminds me of a scene in "A League of their own" when Madonna (Mae) is teaching Shirley to read. She was reading a book on one of their bus rides between games, and she had to read the phrase "Milky whhhite breast", and it always made me laugh so hard! (The scene is on you tube!) Anyway, not trying to be weird, it just happens to be what your accent reminds me of! Thanks again for sharing your talent and instruction!
This looks so easy but when i am trying it, its not working. Is it possible that i am using wrong brush and color quality? I am using filbert brush and decoart color. Please share you opinion on this one.
Hi this Paul I am renovating a old Our Lady statue, and looking for good new ideas , at the base ware the feet are, it be blue and white if I can do it Clouds thanks
Would this apply to shoes? I want to paint cotton candy collage like clouds on my daughter's shoes I literally have 0 experience in art lol😂 i have a vision in my head and I dont know how to make it happen. I was thinking blue background with pink and purple (pastel colors) on top of it! They are "play shoes" but I really dont want it just to look like blob 😅 originally i was going to use a cotton ball to "dab them" and try and blend
I always overthink my clouds and I ruin it 😄
lol same
Me too! So annoying!
same 😂
Every. Dang. Time. I wish I would've left them alone 3 new ideas ago. 🎉😂❤
😂 same.. I keep adding layers and layers and using 15 different brushes then my whole painting is ruined..
I saw a painting on Anthropologie that was just a cloud on a blk background. I just loved the simplicity of it. Thank you for the tutorial.

I know the scene, I love that movie. I didn't know my accent was that thick though lol
@@LaurasBeatingArt So glad you understood the reference, as opposed to being creeped out, Haha. I think your accent is quite lovely!
I like your comments! Funny!
Gracias
Hi Laura, I enjoyed the video. The background noise was a bit distracting but I still learned something. Tks
Beautiful clouds can you confirm which brushes you used ?
mop brushes and daco enchanted

it takes a little practice and remember you have to work very quickly on the first layers! What type of surface are you painting on?
Hi this Paul I am renovating a old Our Lady statue, and looking for good new ideas , at the base ware the feet are, it be blue and white if I can do it Clouds thanks

Hi. Tank ypu
What kind of filbert brush are you using. Soft, stiff like hog hair.
Enjoy your videos
They're very soft but springy!
