Welldone! Just a tip,you should always use your left hand to cover the glass, holding it at the top,it stops the maggi from flying out everywhere. You can do the same even when using mortal and pestle..Just place your left hand on top as cover and pound through the side, if you know what l mean.Cheers.❤

Hello Dash of Jazz , First of all thanks for the great video in regards to make suya spice.
I leave overseas and every SUYA spice that i buy here from african markets In Texas is literally nothing close to the real deal like the ones i have tasted in Nigeria.
I have a question tho please. What is the amount that you put from each spice , like how many table spoons or Grms. You put from each spice along with the groundnut.
    Thank you 🙂🙂🙂

Hi! Here’s a direct link to the full recipe with measurements for each ingredient. I’ve included this in the video description, as well: www.dashofjazz.com/nigerian-suya-yaji-spice/

I have 2 questions if you could answer them please. 1) After grinding the 1 cup of peanuts, how much powder is there? I will guess that it is a bit less than the 1 cup you started with. And 2) If you chill the nuts in the refrigerator or freezer, would you be able to grind them finer?

Hi, John! The ground amount is just slightly les than one full cup. I haven’t tried grinding them frozen but would guess that you can get them a little finer before they start to form a paste.
