- By tradition at the end of a Lamborghini Esperienza Trackday we take out our guests for a Hot Lap demonstrating what these spectacular cars are truly capable of.
In this video you join me for a hot lap POV style in a Lamborghini Huracán EVO RWD around my home track of Zandvoort. The brand new Dutch F1 GP track!
Just in front of me you see my colleague and friend Jonathan Cecotto also driving an EVO RWD. But his car is fitted with the new Automobili Lamborghini X Akrapoviç Titanium Exhaust making an even more incredible noise!!
This noise and even that of the stock Huracán EVO V10 engine was actually a bit too much for the noise limits mandated by the circuit... Which meant we had to lift off the throttle and close the valves in the exhaust in 2 places around the lap in order not to trigger the noise measuring microphones around the track too much. This is why you can see me switch between CORSA mode and STRADA mode during the lap.
But as you can see we still had plenty of fun!
I hope you enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed making it!!

That was a experience itself to watch
i’m grateful for the knowledge and joy your videos bring!
Do you like this one more than Performante version?
Which Huracan do you think it's the best?
Awesome driving by the way, we don't often get to see the POV video of a professional racing driver like you.
Very valuable video indeed.
If you want to go to the track and set the fastest times you're probably still better off with a Performante. But from a driving experience I prefer the EVO models. EVO AWD if you again want to go for precision and lap times. EVO RWD if you just want to have fun and experience the purest Lamborghini ever built.
this was so fun to watch im loving this!
This man really drive this car how it was designed to be driven.
1:24 why u change it to strada?
3:30 💪💪
The graphics are insane is this real racing 4?
Man that was squirrely!
These are indeed very lively! But also very well balanced!
YESSSSss
Are there more esperienza programs planned for 2021? Are taxi laps also possible?
Can I ask why you were switching between Strada and Corsa a few times during the lap?
Traction control
This was just because of the noise limit that was enforced at the track that day. The microphones that do the measurements are in those 2 spots so I switched to Strada to close the exhaust valves.
@@jeroenmulNL very interesting. Thank you for the explanation.
I would never have figured out the reason by myself omg. Thanks for explaining.
Which is a better track car the regular evo or the rwd version?
If you have any Video of the outside I’d really like to see it🔥Nice skills btw
how do you keep these cars sliding without snap oversteering on you, what is there to know?
When drifting/powersliding most people only focus on applying opposite lock in time when the car goes sideways (counter steering). But even more important is to bring the steering wheel back straight in time again at the end of the drift! This indeed to avoid the "tank slapper" you see happen way to often on RUclips video's of people powersliding on the road 🙈.
1st and most important rule is: keep looking where you WANT to go!! Not where the car is going. This is very much like skiing for example. If you are at the end of the turn and you have a straight piece of road/track in front of you, look in that direction and your hands will follow almost automatically turning the wheel in that direction. If you look at the end of the slide at 3:27 you see my left hand reaching over, to what normally would be the 9 o'clock position on the steering wheel when going straight, in order to immediately and accurately put the wheel in the straight ahead position when I bleed off/release the throttle at the end of the drift. Chris Harris always does this very well and clearly!!
2nd rule: don't make the drift longer than the turn is. When you come to the end of the turn, slowly start to bleed off the throttle to bring the rear back in line in a controlled way while simultaneously putting the steering wheel back in the straight position/direction you want to go/direction of the road ahead. If you lift off the throttle abruptly the rear will swing back in line faster than you are able to put the wheel in the right direction. Your front wheels are still pointing in the other direction sending you off the road/track.
Remember: YOU are controlling the car! So YOU decide when the car goes sideways and when it needs to go straight again. Don't react to what the car is doing because this means you will most likely be too late.
I hope this is an answer to your question!
@@jeroenmulNL thanks for the knowledge ! :)
How did u start out with cars Jeroen? I mean what was ur first car? I drive a hyundai verna/accent, can I take it to the track?
My first personal car was a VW Golf V GTI. A car I had for 7 years and enjoyed a lot! I then got an Audi RS3 (8V) which I still drive as my daily currently.
Racing wise I also started with a VW Golf. You can check my video on how I started racing also on this channel. ruclips.net/video/qShfKvBMCOI/видео.html
nice
Have you driven the Huracan STO yet and do you think it'll smash the Nurb record?
I have driven the STO but unfortunately can't say anything about it yet...
@@jeroenmulNL that's a shame but i understand the secrecy. Judging by the fact that the STO was almost 3 sec faster than the Performante at Daytona i've got a sneaking suspicion that the STO will break the 6:40(20.6km) at the Nurb. Well i bloody well hope so anyway lol
GG
How do you like the EVO RWD in comparison to your Aventador S? Would you say the EVO RWD is more of a driver's car?
The EVO RWD is absolutely more of a drivers car! It is the purest driving experience you can have with a Lamborghini. The aventador just gives the biggest Supercar experience even at low speeds. It just feels like you’re in a space ship
@@jeroenmulNL Awesome, thanks for your reply! I have an EVO RWD Spyder on order, but the Aventador is always tempting!
Strada voor geluids restrictie?
Klopt... We moesten even stil zijn bij de 2 meetpunten..
