Driving Around - Attiki Odos (A6 motorway) from Elefsina to Athens International Airport

Today we are driving on the Attiki Odos, from Elefsina to Athens International Airport.
Attiki Odos is a motorway system in Greece, in the region of Attica. It is the peripheral ring of the wider metropolitan area of Athens and the backbone of the road network of Attica. Attiki Odos runs through Attica from Elefsina to Spata, with the main motorway Motorway 6 (A6) and the secondary ones A61 (Markopoulo - Lavrio), A62 (Ymittos Ring Road), A64 (Koropi-Airport), A65 (Ring Ring Road) Aegaleo), which are branches of A6. Finally, there is the third motorway A621, a branch of the A62.
The section of the Elefsina - Spata motorway (in the direction of Spata) starts shortly after the Elefsina toll station and ends 3 kilometers before the Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos".
Attiki Odos hosts, between the two streams of vehicle traffic, Suburban Railway facilities and is considered one of the safest roads in Europe.
