I just saw the video. It provided very basic information about diabeteae and prediabetese. With this sort of very low level of information that is intended to make the people aware about diabetese whatsoever will not help India to continue to grow as diabetic capital of the world. Why the doctors are so much careful about how diabetics will feel if they are told not to eat any food which contains some thing which ultimately gets digested to glucose and the same is not being handled by them. Why don't you tell that harshly? Or you don't want. People say diabetics also have the right and privilege to eat sweet thing. I say why they don't have the right and privilege to live more than 100 years then? But whatever advices were provided in the video, people will definitely die at 65 with whole lot of diabetes complications.
@@jayashreebehera6951 If you don’t want to have full fledged diabetic within few days please do the following: 1. Avoid everything which contains sugar (chini). 2. Do not eat starchy vegetables like potato and others which grow under the ground as thumb rule. 3. Don’t eat corn and item made out of corn 4. Reduce by 25% at least in the beginning the food items like rice, roti, daal etc made out of grains, legumes, cereals ( rice, wheat, Bajra, Joari, all kinds of daal, beans) 5. Avoid eating sweet fruit, if not totally avoid 6. Eat lot of green vegetables, there are hundreds of them. 7. Then what to eat? There are thousands things which you will find to eat.
I was recently diagnosed with borderline pre-diabetes. None of my parents or ancestors ever had diabetes. I am 32 years old and when this happened, I was literally shocked. One of the first signs for me was darkening of skin around neck, armpit and groin area. Then my urine too used to smell differently. This is what led me to get an essential full body check up done. I got 5.7 HbA1C. These are the things I did and I hope it help anyone who reads this as well: 1. Portion size: I used to eat 5-6 rotis previously, now I eat 2-3 rotis. I have increased the amount of veggies in my thali. For further cravings, I generally drink daal ka paani. Also, often I mix up my dal with curd and eat it. If i feel hungry, sometimes I will have fruits in between meals. Sometimes I will have popcorn. Sometimes I will just sip on black coffee. But for black coffee, I never go beyond 2 cups in a day. I avoid milk at night because it can cause digestive issues. 2. Flax and Sesame seeds: I bought flax (Alsi) seeds from market. I roasted them myself and then used a mixer to grind them. I added seasame seeds to it along with 3 dried red chillies and black salt. Now I use this mixture as a seasoning. Flax seeds are high in fibre and they really help in keeping you healthy. 3. Walking/general physical activity: I started walking a lot. Previously if I used my own vehicle or public transport for shorter distance, now I do it by walking. This way sometimes I ended up walking 35k steps in a day. On average I walk around 17-18k steps a day. Also make sure to never lie down soon after any of your meals. I generally walk for about half an hour after every meal. It is just an ordinary walk, you can do it even inside the house. The place I am renting is very small, and still I do it everytime. So dont make excuses about it. In case you have some temporary health issues with walking, like weakness or fatigue due to seasonal flu or viral, try sitting in Vajrasan position after meals. If it is hard for you, normal palthi would also work. But in any case avoid lying down immediately after your meal. 4. Salads: I started eating a lot of salad. Sometimes I will eat them as snack while watching netflix. And sometimes I will even eat them as my primary meal. They are very easy to make. I make very indian version of them. For greek salad, I chop up cucumbers, carrots, onions, tomatoes (w/o seeds) add a little bit of salt, and then add vinegar to it. Finally, I use my seasoning of flax seeds and use crushed Indian paneer rather than feta cheese. Three bean salad is also very easy. I take chole (chickpeas), rajma (kidney beans) and kala chana (black chickpeas), boil them in salt and water and then add the same things mentioned in the greek salad to it, in lower quantities. 5. Stay positive and focus on your health: No matter in what age you are, once your health starts degrading, its a slippery slope. For me the pandemic was the worst thing. I was very active before it, and after it I got all sorts of problems. Take out time from your busy schedules to focus on your body and mind. You have to find what makes you happy and healthy. It can be yoga or meditation for some, or music for others; going out with friends for a drinks night, anything. Just find the right balance. And remember, only in a healthy body, you can have a healthy mind. Both are interconnected. So if you take too much stress, have anxiety issues (like me) or are suffering from any kind of issues, make sure to focus on yourself. Now coming to results: In a month I lost 6 kg. I am 10 kg away from my ideal weight now. I m sure, I will achieve it in next couple of months. The darker areas on my neck, armpits and groin have started to lighten up. My urine no more smells weird. My screentime has reduced as I am no more a couch potato. I make sure to grab every opportunity of going down the stairs to local shop to buy stuff, rather than buy it online using quick commerce like swiggy, zepto, etc. I am much more active than I was in last couple of years. Also, I used to smoke previously, now I am completely smoke free for about 4 months. Remember that smoking also causes insulin resistance in your body, which increases the chances of developing type 2 diabetes, so make sure you quit it. My friends and family members around me are much more appreciative of my changed habits now. Health is the true wealth. Take good care everyone.
Very good. But for any reason please don't eat popcorn and fruits. Check the macro nutrients in the food. Don't get misled by the content of micro nutrients. Have food which is low in carbohydrate

Why so much questions only on Indian diet? what has happened to lallantop?? why no discussions on so much fast food and oily food? burger pizza soft drinks?
They doctors already said no eating of junk food as the glycemic index is very high and takes sugar level to very high too fast Also more oily food causes plack in arteries which leads to heart failure.

What happens when we eat food? After we eat, the food items go through the following stages in the body: Ingestion, Digestion, Absorption, Transportation, Assimilation and Excretion. While all the stages are equally important, we do mistake by thinking that digestion is the most important stage and if it happens properly, everything will be ok. We are much worried about digestion and ready to do everything possible on the earth to have good digestion and then immediately feel hungry. But do we really know what is the most important stage and that is not being talked about at all? This is assimilation? When macro nutrients get digested, they become single molecule like glucose, fructose, galactose from carbohydrate part of the food, various amino acids from protein part and various fatty acids from fat part of the food. Based on what we eat, if the above said molecules produced after digestion happen to be excessive, we land up in a big problem. Glucose primarily and preferably is used for energy generation by each and every cell. Excess glucose produced immediately after digestion gets stored in liver as glycogen for some limited amount if there is any area left over for storage. Otherwise, all this excess glucose will get converted to Fat and then they are stored in fat cell leading to obesity and other metabolic syndrome.
