My Amazon wish list gets fuller and fuller with your seasonal anthology and nature writing suggestions :) I've already got "Nature Writing..." and "Nature poem for every Day of the year" anthologies and can't wait to read them in 2023. For Christmas season I would also recommend Nigel Slater's "The Christmas Chronicles" - very heart warming and nostalgic.

I've become a big fan of the British Library Women Writers series. I recently finished "Which Way" which was quite thought provoking. "Darling" also sounds interesting, having read "The Pursuit of Love" and "Love in a Cold Climate" not too long ago. I devoured both books and am happy to have discovered Nancy Mitford through your channel. The cookbooks look just luscious! I got a copy of Kate Atkinson's new novel from my local bookshop the other day and I'm really looking forward to reading it as well! The surprise standout for me is Daughter of the Moon Goddess. I think I will love it! I happen to be learning birdsong - a project I started in the summer. I must say the RSPB Guide to Birdsong by Adrian Thomas is fantastic and recommended for learning; your book would be a lovely book to look at😊. I particularly loved the Birds anthology you showed in a recent video. Little Library Parties would appeal to friends; Winter in the World and Ronald Blythe appeal to me! I’ve just seen. 50th anniversary hardback edition of The Owl Service and love the Little Clothbound classics - I might get The Nutcracker. Thank you😍

I am a big Susan Branch fan too, and my husband’s already got her new book for me for Christmas. Wild Light, Darling and The Bedside Companion for Book Lovers are also on my Christmas list. I too was relieved to read so many positive reviews of Darling, I am usually unsure about updates to favourite books but now I’m very excited to read this! I am unsure about Marple, will the stories hold up to Christie’s own? As a Christie fan I am sure I will end up reading it out of curiosity. I am really keen to read Daughter of the Moon Goddess after your mum’s glowing recommendation (and what a gorgeous cover it has).

What a glorious selection of books. I was well prepared with a cup of tea, notebook, and pen, and have made so many notes for christmas gifts, as well as books I would love for myself too! A Home for All Seasons sounds very interesting, and sounds similar to The Barn by Sally Coulthard, which is about the history of a barn on the smallholding in Yorkshire where the author lives. The Ukrainian Christmas book looks so beautiful and interesting. I hadn't seen that gorgeous edition of Wolf Hall before but I love the illustrations! And I completely agree about The Golden Mole - such a stunning hardback and I read the entire book by reading a chapter aloud to my husband before bed every night. I got a copy of Kate Atkinson's new novel from my local bookshop the other day and I'm really looking forward to reading it as well!
I'm feeling in a Christmasy mood now and look forward to getting some of these for friends and family. 🙂🎄

Daughter of the Moon Goddess had a great protagonist and the covers of that and the sequel are just stunning.
The surprise standout for me is Daughter of the Moon Goddess. I think I will love it! I happen to be learning birdsong - a project I started in the summer. I must say the RSPB Guide to Birdsong by Adrian Thomas is fantastic and recommended for learning; your book would be a lovely book to look at😊. I particularly loved the Birds anthology you showed in a recent video. Little Library Parties would appeal to friends; Winter in the World and Ronald Blythe appeal to me! I’ve just seen. 50th anniversary hardback edition of The Owl Service and love the Little Clothbound classics - I might get The Nutcracker. Thank you😍

Wow, what a fabulous (and wonderfully long!) book gift guide! Thank you for making this, it’s given me so many ideas. I am a big Susan Branch fan too, and my husband’s already got her new book for me for Christmas. Wild Light, Darling and The Bedside Companion for Book Lovers are also on my Christmas list. I too was relieved to read so many positive reviews of Darling, I am usually unsure about updates to favourite books but now I’m very excited to read this! I am unsure about Marple, will the stories hold up to Christie’s own? As a Christie fan I am sure I will end up reading it out of curiosity. I am really keen to read Daughter of the Moon Goddess after your mum’s glowing recommendation (and what a gorgeous cover it has).

What a glorious selection of books. I was well prepared with a cup of tea, notebook, and pen, and have made so many notes for christmas gifts, as well as books I would love for myself too! A Home for All Seasons sounds very interesting, and sounds similar to The Barn by Sally Coulthard, which is about the history of a barn on the smallholding in Yorkshire where the author lives. I have just started it and it is so beautifully written. Thank you as always Miranda for your wonderful content. I am very much looking forward to your 'favourite things' gift guide too. X
