Thank you for putting this on here, I’m a woman who’s never had to do yard work and I just replaced the weed eater line while my husband is in the hospital! Thank you for being so easy to follow and spot on!!
glad i could help hope everything is alright.
Hope he feel better. Great job , women have awesome skills too.
Hahaha same as me! Never owned or operated a weed eater until now. Was ready to throw the darn thing
I am officially a weed whacking expert ... some have heard of me ... many fear me ... this video has equipped me with the lethal skills to help old ladies cut their lawns. I am not to be messed with . Thank you
getting mixed emotions on this one. not sure if I am scared or excited! be sure to check out my video on sharpening your hedge trimmers so you can trim old ladies bushes to!! your welcome!!
Thanks! Helped me assist my 12yr old with his new trimmer for his biz. Very helpful!!
Glad it helped!
No B's, no talk talk talk. Straight forward. Excellent vid.
Thank you So very much! First time weed eater owner and operator and this was really frustrating me.life saver! Straightforward and to the point. You didn't talk a bunch before you showed us how to do it.thanks brother!!!
i have got your back!
Simple, easy, good angles. Thank you! Now I don't need to depend on my son to refill this for me. You really made it so easy peasy. Honestly, I think prepping and starting the weedeater is now harder than re-threading.
You are so welcome!
Thanks man. I just bought a used one and the string kept breaking within seconds. Now I see have to lock them within those tiny slots. Headed to the yard now! 🙏🏾👍🏾
Glad I could help
This was the most simple & straightforward video for this, thank you!!
Glad it was helpful!
This is freaking perfect! I've never done anything like this and I completed on 1st try.
Nice work!
Got a used trimmer with this type of head. I've only ever used the clip-on heads before, and it looked like it screwed on, but I wanted to make sure instead of possibly twisting it so hard that I might break it. Thanks for publishing this
no problem boss
Hey thanks for the simple, straight to the point no frills instruction! Had it changed in less than 3 min.
Nice!
This vid is way better that what the "professionals" have online. Thank you!!!!
thank you
On a whim I thought I would check to see the CORRECT way to do this. I was sure my way was wrong and it took way too long. Thanks for the video. You probably added days to my life with the time this will save.
Glad I could help!
Keep these teaching videos short, nice, and simple just like this 👍🏽
That's the plan!
Hey guys, I’m a moron and certainly was struggling. Thanks for this video!
Glad it helped!!
I’ve had mines for a couple years now and I can’t seem to get the bump head to feed the line because of that bolt that tightens the bump head. I’ll try bumping it from an angle. Good video though brother ✌🏽
Thank you straight to the point and very helpful
Thanks for sharing! I was missing a step and the string was getting tangled up in the spool. Now I know why.
Glad it helped!
It looks so easy to see you do it. I've been asking my boys to please get it refilled for me since Spring started. Figured I'm on my own with it so here I am. Thank you for sharing your video. Now to tackle the challenge for myself. Lol
It is just that easy. You may need some big channel lock pliers to break the nut free in the beginning but cakewalk after that. If you were here id do it free. Local small engine shop wont charge much.
@@smallengineguys I tried channel locks and still can't get the cap off.
@@maryp2747 is it turning?
Thanks bud! Posted 3 years ago and still helping out
Glad it helped!
Thank you! Glad I didn’t have to ask my pops cuz that ends with us cussing each other out 🤣
No problem!!
Great job, it's simple the way you explain it, I've now gained a life skill, thank you.
Glad it helped!!
Just came here to say I love you man. Thank you for posting this how-to vid.

YEP! i watched a youtube video once lol.
Wish I’d seen this video years ago have been thought the wrong way to load string all my life. Can you replace the head with the new stringer head ?

Why is there some 14 minute video to do what you just did and explained what and why you did in 3 minutes? Great job sir
i didnt talk about my dog or show my boobies so that cuts out a bit of time
exactly instructions I was looking for!
thank you
Glad I could help!
do you know what might cause the string to be wrapping around the shaft after doing this?
wrapped backwards or spring is missing or head is bad and needs replacing
Getting the knob off is what I was looking for.
so it turns counterclockwise to loosen. i have to use a big pair of channel lock pliers sometimes. like these amzn.to/3fqGn2r . use them on the knob. hold the main part with your hands.
This was very well done thank you very much!
Well done thanks
Awesome instructions!
Glad you like them!
Thanks good video exactly what i have to do, now I know how!
Glad to help
Thank you! Very helpful , nice short and step by step!
Glad it was helpful!
Mine doesn't have the notch in the middle thing on the spool
Can you find yours on amazon so i know what im looking at?
The nob won’t screw of. Do you know how to fix that?
channel lock pliers. if its turning but nothing is happening then its stripped inside you'll have to use a grinder and cut the plastic part of the knob off. its a bolt inside with a square head.
I was able to fix mine and just had use a tool to twist it off
@@rogergarza5378 don’t do it yet try to use a toll to take it it off it worked for me
@@smallengineguys thank you! This was my problem.
@@MelonieREMAXDistinction yep!
I cannot unscrew the knob? I have to hold the back to keep it from twirling but the front piece won’t budge?! What am I doing wrong? Thanks!
@@BobDavis-e4w use channel lock pliers.
My line constantly breaks. Any ideas? I can only get a minute or so of use and I see the pros hardly ever change their. 😡
Thank You!! I couldn't even get the cap off. Wow
Wait now my, problem is I Am missing the middle piece but I got it to work without it. Am I missing a piece or does mine not use one?
Same model
Id say its missing but kinda hard to see it with my third eye lol.
Excellent instructions! Thank you Very Much!!!

You are so welcome
Helpful video, thanks.
Glad i could help
Great video thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you!
How do you change the head on this trimmer?
when you undo the knob everything should slide off. if it doesnt pull everything you can out and look on the center shaft. there is a washer with a gripy center on the shaft. break it then pull everything off.
small engine guys thank you. I was having trouble getting that washer off so I thought maybe it shouldn’t come off.
Perfect! Thank you Buddy!
You're welcome!
I appreciate you man.
thanks
Thanks short and sweet.
You're welcome!
This angers me because the knob came off so easily, mine won’t come off and my hands are cramping up

💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🙌🏾
Much appreciated!
No problem.
I’m about ready to throw mine across the yard and trash it. That knob ain’t moving
Channel lock pliers
Omg finally thank you
lol no problem
My guy!
I aim to please!
I had a model older than this one that I love. My sister has difficulty with tools that are too heavy and she actually loved mine and found it easy to use ruclips.net/user/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG . This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.
Thank you!!!
You're welcome!
