I just started teaching myself to paint and I have LOVED your videos. I am a welder by trade and have done a lot of metal art but with the pandemic I have needed an additional stress outlet and have found painting to be so helpful. How do I keep my paint from drying so quickly? I don't even get an opportunity to blend, it dries almost instantly and I try my best to keep my brush wet! Is it because I'm using cheaper paints? I use craft smart paints as those are all I can afford right now. Would love any advice thank you.

I read somewhere that you can lightly spray the back of the canvas with water to help the paint stay wetter longer. Have you ever done that?
