Mine go up not down .like the switched the jack plugs around ? I haven't used it yet but I belong to a large gmrs group .and a member used his it is good for the uv5r mostly .
No, don't think so. The ODMaster app has repeaters listed that you can import to the radio. The best way to import via Repeater Book is to use the Chirp CPS if you radio is supported. Check my 2022 update to this video to see the repeater import function.
i have the same radio but mt dongle is different , i just got in the mail last week followed the instruction . but everytime it get 's to read it freezes up . dongle is fully charged up. not a fan of the system.
I wonder if the app supports voiceover I’ll have to go look! That way I can program my radio even being blind maybe, that way, it will tell me everything inside each menu!
While I haven't tried it, you might be able to just leave the transmit frequency blank. Many newer radios limit the transmitter to the ham bands and of course GMRS radios are locked to only those channels.
It was in stock (1 left) when I checked a few minutes ago. They seem to come and go. Don't know if they're popular or just low stock/production. Hope you snag one.
The app comes and goes when they do updates. I updated a week or so ago and it was there. Check every couple days or send an email or Amazon msg to Tidradio. Sorry the timing turned out bad for you.
Sold out now. Sells for $19.00 US. Everyone is waiting to buy one. I guess the manufacturer didn’t realize the appeal for such a device. Those who have been criticizing the Chinese market as copycats, look again.
They add radios from time to time. Download the ODMaster app and check the list for the latest additions. I've found radios not on the list don't work. Cheers.
Couple things to check. Forgive me if these seem too basic. Make sure it's charged, turned on, and fully seated in the accessory port. They are a notoriously tight fit. Ensure the ODmaster app is up to date. Last, ensure the volume on the radio is fairly high. Good Luck.
I mention the app shortcomings in the review. Some things are clunky and I don't value the social aspects of the app. I'd prefer anonymous operation, too. Thanks for watching and commenting. The privacy issue will turn many off.
@@GadgetTalk4U There has been another release of the app sence your video. There seem to be even more new issues. I tried it myself and I would think it's not yet ready for primetime. 😉
I'm told the app is incredibly unreliable and is very cumbersome, asking for a lot of personal information. Sounds like a shady operation to me. Particularly since it only works for the cheap, lower-end radios.
Cheap low end radios? Bsofeng and its family of radios works as well as most other "high end" HTS. I HAVE OWNED AND USED ICOM Z1A, KENWOOD, AS WELL AS MOTOROLA COMMERTIAL RADIOS AND OTHERS THESE RADIOS all have nicad batteries and they all sucked to a point. BAOFENG AT 23 DOLLARS AND UP WORKED AS WELL AS OTHER handie talkies that puts out 4 watts.
I have this gadget. To me its a nightmare. Extremely poor instructions. My radio is a tri-band. The gadget is only set up as a dual-band only, and its non-adaptable for my tri-band. I sent them a message today via the message option in the app. We’ll see. For a newby, its all extremely overwhelming. I have about 20 hours in this thing, trying to make it look easy - or at least functional.
This is going to be the f****** most long and drawn-out exasperated explanation to anything I've ever seen in my life next video dude get straight to the point
This device is garbage...at least the Odmaster software is. It corrupts the CTCSS tones on my two BF-F8HP radios requiring full reset to restore function. The social aspects of the software make it super annoying. I recommend sticking with Chirp. Also, I was just blown off by both Tidradio and Odmaster's lousy support.

Can i import repeaters from the repeater book directly to my radio using my iPhone
No, don't think so. The ODMaster app has repeaters listed that you can import to the radio. The best way to import via Repeater Book is to use the Chirp CPS if you radio is supported. Check my 2022 update to this video to see the repeater import function.

I purchased the dongle and downloaded the app, but my model Baofeng I have is NOT listed, what do I do?
Hi Ray What is your Baofeng model?
What model radio do you have i have several UV-S9 AND HAVE TO USE radiodity UV-53X TO READ AND WRITE TO IT.
I wonder if the app supports voiceover I’ll have to go look! That way I can program my radio even being blind maybe, that way, it will tell me everything inside each menu!
Can you automatically disable the transmitter so you don't accidentally transmit on a channel like you can on chirp
While I haven't tried it, you might be able to just leave the transmit frequency blank. Many newer radios limit the transmitter to the ham bands and of course GMRS radios are locked to only those channels.
Can you use this on a Baofeng 15-Pro GMRS Raido? Thanks
Great device but as of today 08/27/21on Amazon it's not in stocks and hasn't been for a while. Is it available for purchase anywhere else?

Do you know if a ham tidradio wireless programmer will work with my gmrs radio?
Download the OdMaster app from your app store and see if your radio is listed. If it's not on the list, it won't work.
The app is not in play store. Please help! 😭😭

@@GadgetTalk4U is there anywhere else I can download the app or a different app?
@@williamscott450 I think the fastest way will be to get a link from tidradio. Leave them a message on Amazon.
CAN THIS PROGRAM RETEVIS?
No. Just the listed radios. Hopefully the list will grow.
@@GadgetTalk4U I hope so. I've a retevis rt5r and a radioddity gd-77. be cool if it supports murs too.

They seem to come and go. Don't know if they misjudged demand or if they're stuck on a boat off LA! Bummer.
And... Unavailable on your Amazon link.
They've up up a new product page. Now says available soon. New link in the video description.
Amazon withdrew the product.
I wish they would support more Radio's, pmr radios like the Retevis RB618 ect. 🤔 😊
Will this work with the Baofeng UV-82C? I know you said it had to be specific.

Very helpful, thanks for making this video.
Glad it was helpful!
I wish you could do this from your computer.

I bought this wireless programmer and it won’t read my tidradio f6 for some unknown reason

I have the tidradio gmrs gm5R
Nice, the GM5R is listed as supported by the BlueTooth programmer with the ODMaster app. Should work.
