Sir you are talking about group discussion or debate...? coz both have different rules...? Immediately respond sir...?
We are talking about GD since it is required during interviews. In debate everyone gets chance to speak and put his point but in GD you are to snatch the time for you. In debate you win if the opponent loses but in GD you are to take entire group with you.
But sir sometimes it happens that u couldn't enter in GD coz sometimes it's going towards debate... So what we do when someone is deviating from his path but he/she saying true about the topic... We can't directly say that you are deviating from your path... Coz they are choosing the right words and sentences...?
Certainly you can tell someone when he deviate from the topic what is important is discussion on the topic and not the other information even if it is correct. Information must be relevant and related to the topic. So please interfere and stop him from deviating this always work.

what is difference between dabate and group discussion ?
In the debate, you can either put your points in favour of your topic or in against of it but not on both whereas, in a group discussion you can either put your views in favour or against.
Normally for career related domains only GD is to be prepared in which group of students start discussing a topic take view in favour or against and can change their views while discussing. In debate on the other hand you support the view which you have taken.
@@NxtGenTech True and a debate has no ground rules. You can bang the table, call the other person a fool and shout but in a GD a certain decorum has to be maintained

When you enter during the discussion you need not to introduce yourself but simply join the discussion either support or oppose someone.

Sir, I think GD is not supposed to be a debate, coordinating as a group and standing out of the other groups is much more important.
Does Fighting for Individual attention makes any any sense in a group discussion? If we as a group want to surpass the other groups. There is already specific round like PI for individual skill show but I think GD must be calm, polite, coordinating, respecting each other opinion and expressing their opinions, in a professional way is more important than debating. What do you say about this sir?
Exactly that's wat is needed for perfect gd ....but that's not in control of individual so if he gets turbulent water ...he must swim somehow n save himself

Sir, In IOCL Can we get some time to discuss with group mates before entering conference room, so that we can discuss how to behave ,answer and coordinate so that we survive out of other groups but not dipping our own boat with selfishness.
