I’ve only ever been to DLP once & that was back in 2010. Me & my ex stayed in this hotel & it was amazing. It was February & like -5 but we sat by the fire with hot chocolate at night & loved it so much. This has brought back all those memories!

The last time I stayed at a Disney hotel was when my mom and some of her friends ran in the Disney marathon in 2013. We stayed at Pop Century. It was a cool resort. I also noticed that the green shirt Charlotte was wore was the same one she wore in the Cedar Point Day 1 vlog from last year.
Yeah that does bring back some memories. Sadly, I can no longer justify the prices to go to Disneyland. It never was cheap of course, but back in the day you at least got your breakfast included, fastpasses and all that. And they just strapped it all down to the bare minimum while charging more and more for essentially the same park. Back in the 90s it truly was amazing. Us Europeans never seen something like that on that scale. But now parks like Efteling, Europapark, Phantasialand and many others caught up and just offer a much better experience at a much better price. Disney never really did anything new or exciting to warrant the much higher prices since it essentially all the same thing as it was back 30 years ago. Meanwhile the Efteling and Europapark are the onces that open the new top-of-the-line attractions like Danse Macabre and Voltron and Phantasialand offers the themed hotel experience like the Charles Lindbergh hotel and next year the Efteling is opening its Grand Hotel which is actually right inside the park. and looks like it can easily rival any Disney hotel, especially the newer ones. I mean, you cant charge people premium prices while you no longer offer that premium experience. It just doenst work like that. And Im not saying its bad, I went a couple of years ago and sure , I had fun, although a large part was nostalgia im sure. But yeah, after paying for day tickets for me, my wife and son, lunch , dinner, and some merch, nothing special, just a t-shirt and a mug or something, we realised we spend 500 euro on a single day, and yeah... we never went back there again.

Stayed there in 2007 loved it as my favourite dlp hotel. Stayed in October this year and the memories of the 2007 trip were much nicer than the reality of 2024, even the club rooms couldn’t really hide that the hotel needs a modernisation plan

It's our favourite hotel at DLP. Usually go during the winter season and it's beautiful at Christmas. We were there at the end of August this year and it didn't disappoint then either! Love it.
Omg me and my mate went here early November! It's such a beautiful and cosy hotel. Really is great you've done this detailed tour because before I went I didn't know what to expect so it's great you've done that for others. I loved it as it is too so I hope they don't lose its current charm! Also was that a thousand for the both?
Sayed in Sequioa 5 yrs ago and it was excellent (did the golden rooms so had the benefit of breakfast and snack which saved a fortune in drinks) this year we did a standard in Newport Bay and it was good but we preferred Sequioia - maybe next time in 26 it'll be Marvel Hotel!

That hotel looks very 1992! Old school vibes. The kiddie items are useful to know. Our son fell out of bed in the middle of the night on a safe bed in a hotel so a we have our own bed rail now which we take with us. I’ve not stayed on site since I was 2 and I can’t really remember it. If you do go again you will have to do vlogs from each hotel you visit.
we stayed in one of the small buildings last time we was there and it was nice and quiet. Never really went into the main building other then checking in.
We stayed in the outdoor lodges our first time this year on Main building. Def preferred being outside with a pushchair and less of a bum fight for the single lift to Disney village level when you’re in the main hotel. Also to not the kids are opening hours were rubbish when we went in October only seemed to be open and stocked for check in hours.
I’ve stayed in the lodges outside from the main building, can smell a little musky since don’t get much sunlight from the trees blocking. However it’s not far out, you can walk right side towards the river and connect to the lake towards the park. Recommend if you prefer more quiet to a busy building…however not far away for main building or park.
I just wanted to say, I was there the same time as you guys (shame I didn’t see you) but I was staying at Hotel Cheyenne and we had half board which included breakfast and lunch (mainly all you can eat apart from 1 lunch) and it cost us just over £700. That obviously includes the park tickets too and the bus from the airport
We stayed in the lodges in October 2019, i thought they were lovely. There are Standard rooms and accessible rooms (which we had). The bar area was lovely all decorated for Halloween.
Nice vlog, never stayed in this hotel, but its on list one day to stay in and experience, have stayed in Santa Fe, Hotel New York, Newport Bay Hotel which were all really nice stays, there was mention about a hotel being added with Star Wars Land, at the back of it so I wouldn't be surprised if thats an option in future for Disney Village? What will it be themed around though? Questions? Encanto? Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty? Or villains? Maleficent? All speculation & questions? Nice hotel this one, one hopefully get opportunity to stay in future, £1000 is taking the mic nowadays though. More interested in money than what & how it started, place for kids, families and all to enjoy. Now mostly a profit enterprise that wants to suck you dry of all your money, I love Disney, 100%, but its way overpriced, hoping Universal GB uses this to their advantage, builds a resort cheaper than Disney? Really offers competition that forces Disney to rethink its pricing? I guess shall see what happens? But defo 100% need Universal GB in the UK, alternative resort and competitor for Europe? But interesting vlog, enjoyed and look forward to more in future. 😀👍
It’s actually tough to find infants sizes at Disney stores. For some reason they only do six months and up sizes. You can however find nice teddy bears and ornaments with first Christmas or something. I sometimes just look for toys and stuff for my niece but I never find clothes in her size.
That's interesting what you say actually about Walt Disney World as that has always felt financially out of reach! Just looked at the price for October half term at Sequoia and it's £1500 for three nights for me and two kids! So expensive! Great video as always
We stayed her 6 years ago. The hotel was very dated and we thought it wasn't worth the money we paid. Also had my hoodie stolen from the hotel, and the staff were awful. They just weren't bothered and didn't want to know! Certainly wouldn't stay here again.
Seqouia lodge is my go to hotel when visiting DLP. I agree that DLP is more expensive than before. However it’s still way cheaper then wdw. Now you’re staying 4 days including the parks for 1000,- in total. At WdW most hotel cost that price for 1 or maybe 2 nights ( nothing included ) still need park tickets, parking, food, resort fee’s… I’m very sure DLP is way cheaper than WDW.
@ that’s actually not to bad tbh! I am always on the lookout for those kind of Florida deals! Nonetheless Disney is very expensive and I feel privileged to be able to visit! Even more so for the American Disney parks! Luckily we have you guys to create that escapism! Wish you all the best for new year!

Really didn't like Sequoia Lodge, stayed there a couple of times and it's my least favourite hotel. On our first visit we didn't realise there were only 2 restaurants, the buffet and the full service that you have to book. We had a small child and had to wait over an hour for a table in the full service as the buffet was full all night and the food was awful. Much prefer the Cheyenne and Santa Fe for convenience but to be honest we never stay on site anymore, p re efer to save our money and stay at Val d'Europe. Hotels there are great, a third of the Disney prices and you have all the restaurants at the shopping centers.

Just for your information, the golden forest rooms do include breakfast, snacks and non alcoholic drinks in the private lounge included in the price.
