Wee Stand! I was delighted to see the advertising about the compact music stand and ordered it straight away as it seemed to be the perfect solution for my iPad. I received the order yesterday and tried it out straight away, but it turned out that it unfortunately did not meet my expectations and needs. The product is extremely unstable, even when I set it up according to the instructions. I think the idea is great, but the implementation, even in relation to the price, is unfortunately inadequate. I tried to get in touch through e-mail, but haven’t received any response from them…
Hi, I'm sorry that the stand wasn't right for you, unfortunately there isn't really anything I can do to help you with it. My channel is independent, I don't work for the company, it was just a review of the product that I tried to make as honest and transparent as possible. There is a message section on their website that you can use to contact them: noisyclan.com/pages/contact I hope you get things sorted. All the best, Jb
Damn - you've had this since June, and for free? I'm an original backer who bought this on day 1 of the kickstarter campaign for the hefty sum of 71 pounds, and it finally arrived today. Oh well, I can finally start to enjoy it after 9 months wait - hope it's worth it!
Hi Julian, I think I was maybe sent a prototype as the marketing says they made some improvements from what I had to what they sent out. Is your's any different or does it seem the same?
@@JbLessons seems the same as far as I can tell. Good review, I agree it is a nifty design but still seems pricey to me for what it is now that I have it, I expected it to be sturdier and reach a slightly greater height. But it does the job. Is it worth that much extra cash? Jury is still out on that one for me, but it is pretty cool and looks awesome. It's a good talking point for when musicians come round at least.
@@haukepowers8491 it's more sturdy than it looks, I've already used it for some outside gigs, using the hand strap to hang a weight on helps if it is windy.
Like I say in the video, it isn't for everyone. If you are a concert musician you need more space for music and won't really need the smaller footprint this stand gives you, if that was my need then I would deffinatly go for the stand on the left of my thumbnail. If it's portability as the main priority then this is the winner for me
Young children and work commitments sadly, but the plan is to start up again in the summer holidays with some new and improved recording equipment. Especially for recording audio!
Great review. I have one observation to add. I've been really tempted to buy the Wee Stand, as it seems really versatile, smartly designed, and easy to travel with. The dealbreaker for me, however, is that it looks like it would be really bad for the types of gigs with long, elaborate parts where you have to sift through 3 or more taped-together pages per song. This is doable on the cheap, classic foldable stands, but the Wee Stand just looks too narrow for that to work.

Footprint is too big. A quartet/quintet using these stands would need too much stage space.

Awesome fun review Man! 🤩 cool product too. Love how the legs work! 👌🏻
Thanks Sam, it's a great product and it was a fun video to make, glad you like it.
super flimsy...a small wind would knock the whole thing down..

Hi, I’m wondering about the full height, as I need one for an adult who’s playing the flute while standing. Do you maybe have a picture or shot if it?
Hi Dirkje,
If you send me an email to john@jblessons.com so I have your email address I can sort out a picture for you
...good for very light use..the idea is nice,,,just too flimsy for concert musicians..and not enough room for regular sheet music..

Wouldn't work for standing violin if you're tall
Hi DivaDeb1234, it should be fine, the height is very similar to any adjustable height stand
The wire stand is not fantastic lol.
Excellent explanations, and very persuasive!
Thank you, it's an honest review. I still have it and use it, most of the time in table top mode when practicing 👍
wondering where the 11 month break came from

Would it hold an iPad?
Hi, yes. If you fold out the tabs that I used for the real book test it will hold an ipad and most other tablets 👍
@@JbLessons awesome! I just went ahead and backed the stand! If all goes well I’ll get mine in August! Looks awesome! I’m also a busker…
@@cellist81 that's great, I'm sure you will be happy with it!
How did it work with your ipad? Do you have a 12.9?
£99… 😂😂😂 seriously!!!
