I highly doubt he adopted her. A purebred blue English Staffordshire bull terrier like Tessa is quite a sought after breed in the UK. He had her since she was a pup, so I can assume she was from a registered reputable breeder. Nothing wrong with that too. The English Staffie is the funniest, silliest, most loving, friendliest dog I have ever had.

I was absolutely heartbroken to hear that sweet, beautiful Tessa crossed the rainbow bridge earlier this month. Just like my Blue Staffy, she was just shy of her 10th birthday. It's so unfair that dogs don't get a longer lifespan.
I feel most the time the dogs that are considered dangerous are actually the friendliest. For example I grew up with a family rottweiler who was just the sweetest thing, and it really shows you never to judge a book by its cover xx

However it applies to the ones who praise their dogs for everything, even the bad behaviour. That creates a bad dog too because they don't know that biting is bad. I feel like pit bull types should only be allowed to be owned by experienced dog owners. Tom seems like a great dog owner though and I absolutely love her. I have an amstaff myself, and he is the love of my life.

@@marthbotke5598 fun fact: in England, staffies (staffordshire bull terriers) were used as fighting dogs, the owners of said dogs wanted to be able to put their hands in the ring and break up the dogs without being bitten, due to this if any staffie showed aggression towards a human rather than an animal, they were put down. This was to selectively breed the agression towards humans out of them, while keeping the aggression towards animals

I have a blue staffy too! Her name is Shelby and she’s a rescue. My uncle got her from this family who owned dogs illegally. They would beat her and there were so many dogs that they didn’t take care of, there was a lot of fleas. When my uncle bought her from the pound you could see all the scares on her, especially on her snout. She was scared of everyone and she wouldn’t come near anyone but my uncle. Then my uncle died and we where left with the decision to either take care of her or sell her. We kept her and now she is the sweetest little angel ever. Granted she still has a few bad habits, but nothing can fully be erased. She gets along well with our other dog, Charlie, who’s a brittany spaniel. But the way she came from a dog who is scared out of her mind, to a dog who loves people and will jump onto the couch and ask for attention without a care in the world is honestly amazing, and I love Shelby with all my heart ❤️
